There seems to me little point in argueing too much over exactly what was paid, what is more important surely is what is happening to the residual values. These certainly seem to be strong and that's been one of the reasons I have bought one just recently. Because McLaren in a new brand it's going to take a few years to settle down and for people's confidence in the brand (or not) to build up. The recent announcement about a warranty available for 12 years can only help surely ?

But overall, personally I didn't buy it to make money, I bought it to enjoy and really looking forward to that. biggrincoolbiggrin

If you are going to try and be insulting and call me a knob at least get it factually right and add BIG.

Its easy for "new posters" to come on here suggesting they are the new expert and bought said car for said price but you do the maths when the dealers max margin is 15% and they are not charities into giving them away.

We have had these disruptive scaremongering rumours before so with Ferrari doctoring their press cars who knows what other dirty tricks they will go to
Why would a supposed multi McLaren owner come on here and "bash" his own product wobble
I thought McLaren owners were more intelligent than your average Boo Boo

What can't be disputed is the cars are selling, residuals strong and prices will rise as supply dries up and demand continues to increase.

So I beg to differ with you until proven wrong whistle

so, slightly o/t, but after two years of similarly endlessly hyping your gallardo's value using your other ph account, just out of interest can i ask how much profit your actually made on it ?

Oh hear we go again the usual suspects try to dis rail a thread by trolling.

Why am I going to divulge my financial affairs with some random poster on a public forum ?

What exactly have you contributed to any thread on here since you blagged membership ?

Rambo, I am delighted that you are happy, please though leave some space for others to express different experiences without rub bushing them. I am not new to the forum, am known to more than one poster on this thread and can vouch for what has been said
Have you considered the possibly that a new poster was initially excited to buy into mclaren but had an awful experience and was motivated to post for the first time to counter the strength of your own strong voice.
It seem pointless to counter your views, though happy to Private message.
Enjoy your car, let us enjoy ours.

My comments weren't aimed at you at all but in response to the usual suspects that contribute nothing positive to any thread ever and have now probably opened up additional accounts mascarading as McLaren owners to be destructive and try and create mayhem through trolling.

I have no intention of trading insults or divulging my financial matters with them

I couldn't agree more, I love all the cars I own for different reasons and love seeing other cars cherished by their owners. What difference does it make that we like different brands/ colours etc. What a sad motoring world it would be if we all agreed on the same 'best' car and the other manufacturers went out of business.

Aside from telling us that whatever you currently own is the best car in the world and that when the rest of the car buying public realise this, they will be worth more than a ton of myrrh, what exactly have you contributed?

And as for your financial affairs, you speak of little else.

Oh, and to my earlier question, did your car really cost 282k list or is that just a ruse to pretend you are the only person ever to pay list for a 650S? You really should have bought the Speciale instead - you would be 150k better off and less bitter about Ferrari.

It sure is, cars are like women, thankfully we all like different ones otherwise we'd all be chasing the same ones and maybe like cars their price would go up laughlaugh

Put more eloquently than me and spot on, and the fact he goes on about the same old crap in every available thread possible, and i bet if he had more time would be over on the Porsche section spouting the same old nonsense. Strange repetitive annoying poster, nothing more.

I thought the Chuckle brothers had retired.

Keep trolling guys, its like water off a duck's back here.

What would be more interesting though is a positive contribution to a thread just once in your sad lives.

You must be a riot at a party

I suspect most people that have read your posts over time have pretty much got your measure.... pretty weak effort at calling others trolls when they call you out btw... you're kidding no-one.

One thing I will give you credit for however is thick skin - despite being run-over time and again, you never change your posting style or tone !

As it happens I went to a party last night, Great fun - no one droning on about carbon tubs, residual values, brand awareness or showing me dog eared magazine articles about how their car "chews up and spits out" another car, whatever that means. Or trying to sell me a car. It was, as you put it, a riot.
