Not sure what the event was, but it seems that people have phones and even iPads out taking photos so can't be too secretive. Obviously this is only one image, but from this angle I love it from the front wheel back. Nose not so much, but I'll reserve judgement til I see it at Geneva.

I think with most of the modern designs now that more often than not pictures don't really do them justice. Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh and I'm sure it will be a ballistic missile.

Lovely. Some of the lines around the door is very 'F1' and I like how it looks very delicate and diminutive.

Shows there's no need for a sledgehammer approach to supercar design.

I believe this image comes from the dealer preview in early November in the UK. Can't imagine McLaren allowing any other group the chance to take photos at this point - they certainly didn't for those who caught a glimpse at the Winter Ball.

Anyway, the image was first shared on IG by someone who works for a second-hand supercar dealership in Miami, FL. Suspect he may have gotten it from a friend working for McLaren's official dealer there, The Collection.

As for the looks - this is hardly an ideal image from which to judge, but on first glance I am definitely impressed by what I can see. I certainly can't wait for a chance to lay eyes on one and get a feel for the new face and all the engineering that has gone into it.

EDIT: I was wrong - that's a room full of journalists, so someone deserves to lose their job for clearly violating an agreed upon embargo. frown

very bold and futuristic but not sure I like it. Hope its just the angle of the photo but some of the lines don't flow for me. Don't like the new headlights especially from that side view
Its a bit wacky and over fussy for my liking but I also don't like a lot of the hyper cars like Pagani and Koenigsegg etc...

Sure it will be a fantastic car as a driving machine but its not a looker for me.
Definitely looks more hyper car than super car now

Lots of aero directional clever stuff going on there, but it's a no from me. I won't be part-ex'ing my 11 year old S2000 for one hehe

Looks good apart from the front (not that this is an area where McLaren have excelled so far). I was hoping the shots were had already seen were just a disguise. Hopefully will look better in the metal.

The rest looks very pretty though.

scratchchin Feeling quite "Andy Pipkin" from that image...

I think the nose is going to ruin the looks.

I possibly saw one of these testing last week albeit all camo'd up. They look fabulous and make a great noise!

Like the Huracan, the rear is too low and out of proportion. Needs a wing on it.

There have been a few staged spyshots and teasers this week:

I think the side profile could be it's nicest view. Also proportionally it looks shorter and narrower than the 650S which is no bad thing if it actually is.

Those camo covers are brilliant aren't they, they really do mask the features/design well.

There is a wing that runs the full width of the rear of the car and elevates on hydraulic stanchions based on driving mode/speed. You can see it in the images at your link.

Door mirrors look quite big... frown
Is there still legislation that you HAVE to have side mirrors? can't we have cameras and screens yet?

The pictures of the disguised test car(s) never suggested it was going to be the most beautiful supercar ever, but this looks already better. I think I like the shark-looking front end.
It seems McLaren have always struggled a bit to come up with a universally-acclaimed headlight signature (even on the F1 they did not look too good), but I am sure those will look much better in person than on pictures, just like on the other road cars they made so far.
Good job McLaren.

I'm willing to bet it's going to be bigger than the 650. Cars unfortunately only ever get bigger.

If Mclaren had any sense at all they should just release their press pack with proper pictures than let this one get spread any more than it already has and set most people's expectations of what it looks like as it's a pretty rubbish picture.....

That is not the case. The image was originally shared by this account a full four hours before any other, but has since been removed.

Full caption was:

The very same account also posted some leaked Huayra Roadster images yesterday, but that post has also been taken down.
