Maybe that's because they take to Twitter and bh and moan about said company every time they don't get their own way?
They're in their right if the above happened. Crazy to treat top existing customers and potential buyersBunty Killa said:

Said person whinged on twitter many times about McL, when the LT Spider came out, then again with the MSO HS etc, he's very vocally slagged them off in the recent past, so it's no surprise they aren't going to be very friendly with him now, F1 or no.
Fair enough i didn't know that Beefmeister said:

I just seen his reply to the above:He cancelled his LT as he was told 500 would be made but it was really 1100. But Mclaren were happy to sell him a p1gtr?

Ultimately the brand is strong at the moment and they can sell/not sell to whoever they choose. Yes they should of course reward loyal customers as in any line of business, but if that customer chooses to react this way I'm not surprised they're not rushing to deal with him.
Cancelling the LT is akin to cutting off your nose to spite your face, they still made all those cars, they are fantastic and for now still a strong market.
McLaren aren't the only brand that works the way they do but they seem to take alot more stick for it when compared to Porsche or Ferrari for example.
Am I missing something? How do people get 1100 675s? There's 500 coupes, 500 spiders, 25 carbon series spiders and maybe 20 prototype cars......
I'm guessing it's andy74b that is the person in question, well, the dealership are the ones that arrange the invites. It's up to them to invite people who by and large all have deposits on the P14, the factory afaik hasn't got involved in this. Much the same exists for allocations I'd imagine. MSO told the dealerships who were getting the HS but that's a somewhat different case compared to say the 675s which weren't difficult to get early on anyway and Mclaren were hardly going to insist on not selling him a 675 at the time and even if they had been unhappy with him, they were unlikely to be £2m unhappy with him not to sell him a P1GTR

They're in their right if the above happened. Crazy to treat top existing customers and potential buyersI'm lucky to buy new cars from other manufacturers so I am in a position to compare the products and levels of service. Sadly I think McLaren fall behind Porsche, Ferrari and Aston. They' have issues internally between departments which leads to problems i.e. goodwood last year etc.
Just posted this on the 12C issues thread, but it's probably more appropriate here.
Reports from those that attended the Mclaren 720S (P14) pre-launch earlier today, was that it's 3s a lap quicker than a Porsche 918 and has a natty folding dash in track mode.
Its suspension range is also greater enabling Corsa grip levels from standard P-zero tyres and more comfortable ride in 'normal' mode than a 650S, which is arguably the most comfortable supercar for daily driving already.
If these claims turn out to be correct then it'll be one-hell-of-a road/track car.
(doesn't bode well for 675LT residuals if its faster and rides better....)

Whinged on twitter many times?? The majority of my posts are singing the praises of the f1 and p1. Can I not post when things aren't right? What did I winge about the HS? I think P1GTR is the best car made at the moment. My F1 is very well known as I still use and track it.

I can't be bothered to trawl back through twitter, but you were very vocal about the LT situation. When you're (rightly) well known for your gorgeous F1 you become well known for McLaren stuff, so the negative comments you made stand out. It's not surprising that MCL may take notice of that. Have you got a 720S ordered?

Looking back maybe 1% negative tweets vs 99% positive. HS I never asked for and never expected. It's not surprising that MCL may take notice of that. Have you got a 720S ordered?
LT was bad. They said 500. Majority of people that ordered coupes had choice to swap to spiders. I was never given choice and was being cautious after 12C. I also got TDF order in between so decided to cancel. In hindsight it was wrong decision as 675 is benchmark track car. Although I would still have sold it as despite being marketed as track car the inspections and running cost versus GT3RS and TDF would have annoyed me.
No 720s on order and no plans to as f12m and AM RB001 on order.

Just curious - "3s a lap quicker than a Porsche 918" on what track?Reports from those that attended the Mclaren 720S (P14) pre-launch earlier today, was that it's 3s a lap quicker than a Porsche 918 and has a natty folding dash in track mode.

Edited to add ... I am building a large aviary as a precaution.

Any actual pics of car
Sadly not - all phones were taken at reception.Car is epic and was worth the wait visually, technologically this thing is leagues ahead of the competition. When all details, laptimes etc are released a lot of people will A. Struggle to believe it & B. Want one.
Don't like the phrase game-changer but difficult to describe it any other way.
It's all in the detail;
- dash binnacle
- doors
- shape
- rear end
I could go on.
Anything that can do 0-124mph in the time this can should have NASA down the side.
