I've ordered the McLaren tracker. Is that all I need apart from paying the annual subscription? Are insurers happy with the Mclaren factory fit item?

Is it a cat 5 or 6? Most insurers would requires 5 at that level - that's the one with the separate fob

It has a separate fob. Don't know if that makes it cat 5 or 6 but its accepted by my insurance company

I spoke to Vodafone to ask if I could use their 'My Connected Car App' but they said no, McLaren fit units don't have that facility.

You may wish to check that this is still the case, and the price difference between spec'ing a McLaren fit vs. a post purchase Vodafone fit system, as having the 'my connect' system would be a big 'plus' if it were my car.
