So I pulled the trigger on a 540c

After much looking and nearly buying the rental 12C (bullet dodged) I finally decided to get a new 540C after working with Steven in Glasgow, really helpful team.

Stealth badges and exhaust tips

Needless to say I can't wait to pick it up!

Yes was new 17 stock just arrived, had some boxes ticked that I wouldn't normally go for (MSO Palladium roof is crazy expensive!) But managed to get it to a price I was OK with, would have liked an S, but would have to go for a 1 year old and then pay for warranty etc, and I've never bought a brand new car before so looking forward to it!

Fantastic. The lads in Hamilton do a great job. I've been pestering them the last couple of weeks with a view "pulling the trigger" still cant bring myself to do it yet.

Mine has (or will have) the palladium roof too...........I thought the three month wait would be great, when it was snowing recently it was fine, now the suns starting to come out and meets are happening I'm suddenly massively impatient!!

make sure it has the 1 piece dash display .. older models has the 2 vertical bars on either side of the main screen

Know how you feel. Ordered mine on 22 October. Car due to arrive at the dealer this afternoon. Collect a week tomorrow. Haven't slept properly for a week!!

Interesting. Did not know this had been updated. It might seem trivial, but the three separate screens with the two black bars separating really used to bug me too. It's the kind of Ron Dennis fanatical attention to detail kind of thing that would not bother most people, but was an eyesore to me.

most recent cars have the 1 piece screen without the 2 vertical bars

Well done and I bet you can't wait. I know this as I am picking my 540C up from Birmingham a week tomorrow. Same as you dealer stock car, good price and very happy. Well done on going for the orange too, I wasn't quite brave enough so went Blade Silver.

If my experience is anything to go by I would assume yes.

Dealers definitely seem keen to move built cars in stock on as quickly as possible.

Dealers outside London/S East seemed to signal this more overtly than those within.
