This time tomorrow - 570s
Discussion
Well I've had the car for just over 3 days and first impressions are that I have an amazing car on my hands!
Personally I'm impressed with the fit and finish and although I'm 6'3" I find there to be lots of space. The seats are very comfortable and supportive. Getting in is easy - getting out has yet to be perfected without looking like an overweight 50 year old!
I personally like the IRIS system and found it very intuitive - I haven't read the owner's handbook but have found my way round the system easily.
Bodywork and wheels are spot on (no niggles), interior is wonderful. I love the gearbox (my first dual clutch) and although the brakes took a bit of getting used to, after 450 miles they are bedding in and have lots of feel.
The car (being bright yellow) gets LOTS of attention, but so far it has all been very positive. Lots of nice comments and lots of genuine appreciation for the car.
By complete chance I bumped into a fellow owner in his white 570s on one of my favourite roads south of Tenterden at the weekend - he pulled over and we had a good chat. Never did that when I had a Ferrari....
In summary, I adore the car and I cannot wait to take it on a few trips this year and meet some of the other owners.
Best.

This is a new car welcome thread and new owner obviously very, very happy with new wheels. Is loving the speed, colour, and experience of owning new supercar. Fair play to him and congratulations.
So then, why do you deem it appropriate to post up pictures to once again extol virtues of 650 re speed and such. Of course is faster, 570 vs 650hp, this is very obvious. Is like you're pissing on new owners bonfire here, guy is is very happy and you're posting up how your 650 is faster than his splendid new wheels? Why do this? Why attempt to change focus of thread towards biggin your own 650 up, seems you frequently do this. I find these posts very unsavoury and v bad form to be honest. What would you make of 675 or P1 owner jumping in with similar comments regards your 650?
Thankfully your online attitude and posts are atypical of McLaren owners in general.
I suspect you're a nice bloke in reality, though I would humbly suggest need to seriously review, reconsider, and revise your online persona and demeanour.
Lets not forget I also own a fantastic 570S as well and was purely making the observation that the 650S has a lot more grunt. Merely a statement of fact and not knocking the 570S in anyway at all.
There are things about the 570S I prefer over the 650S and vice versa. Both absolutely fantastic cars and I would take the 570S over a 458

Sorry to go a bit off topic but I'm down Tenterden way in a couple of weeks and don't know the area - what road is that?

Congrats and first yellow one I've seen.
I think the speed is relative and depending on what you have been used to but there is no denying its a supercar with super speed even if it lacks the brutal punch of the 650S.

After nearly 12 months of (strategic) waiting, I pick up my new car tomorrow from Ascot. Excited is an understatement! Saw the car in PDI a week ago. I'll post some better pictures once the weather improves on Saturday. Cheers.

A neighbour has a 918 spyder & 911 turbo & lives in a modest 3 bed. He had an orange 675LT spyder for a while & some Lambo's have come & gone.I don't think one needs to have a fancy house to go with one's fancy car. Just an understanding and sympathetic partner perhaps. ☺

You're missing the point in this example
Yeah the point being its ok for everyone to gang up and take a pop at me yet when I stand my ground and fight back everyone throws their toys out the pram.Enough said !
What you don't do is acknowledge that your crassness in posting pisses a good number off.
Growth and improvement can only come from acknowledgment of your failings. But hey, that's your prerogative!
At the end of the day you bring it on yourself!

He must be a drug dealer then...He owns a 918 (£1million) and lives in a 3 bed semi?? Or he doesnt own that 918 at all..I don't think one needs to have a fancy house to go with one's fancy car. Just an understanding and sympathetic partner perhaps. ?
