Congrats on the car V12, just stunning in yellow!

I have now finalised my order at Ascot for my Ventura Orange 570S Track Pack, my sales rep is Steven and he told me how emotional you were on delivery day. It's so good to hear a story like that, I will likely be a blubbering idiot myself being the most expensive vehicle I've bought thus far.

The two test drives I had really did not give me a chance to experience the performance but the few occasions I put the foot down on A-roads were seriously epic.

Managed to get an earlier build slot so now it's early July, can't wait to do some summer/autumn miles on it!

Cheers Koorby and congrats on your car. The 570s is my most expensive purchase and I was excited and nervous but in a good way. The car has exceeded expectation on every level. You will not be disappointed. Look forward to seeing some pics. When is delivery due?

Aiming for first week in July, I guess the date will firm up as we get closer. Also hoping MSO visit will co-incide with my actual car being built.

If its any consolation, my car turned up exactly when scheduled. Not sure if this was luck, but mates who have bought Ferrari's were stunned! Hope to see you out on some drives when you get your car. If I hadn't gone for VY I would definitely have gone Ventura Orange.

Stunning car. McLaren absolutely nailed the styling on the 570 (and 540). The 12C and 650S are both beautiful in their own way, but from certain angles can look a little bit fussy (to my eye anyway). The 570 on the other hand, perhaps more than any other car at present just looks drop dead gorgeous from any angle (and in any colour for that matter, although hats off for the choice of yellow). Enjoy in good health.

A neighbour has a 918 spyder & 911 turbo & lives in a modest 3 bed. He had an orange 675LT spyder for a while & some Lambo's have come & gone.
I don't think one needs to have a fancy house to go with one's fancy car. Just an understanding and sympathetic partner perhaps. ?
He must be a drug dealer then...He owns a 918 (£1million) and lives in a 3 bed semi?? Or he doesnt own that 918 at all..
It is strange but can be true.

I live on my own and have no wish to live with anyone else. I Am downsizing to a 2 bed flat that costs less than some cars.

I dont want a big house to roam about in or a big garden to cut etc. I just find large homes an unnecessary hassle. Yes, you can get a cleaner, gardener etc but its all extra hassle i dont need nor want. Id rather go to the park than my garden, the pub than my sitting room and so on.

A £1m mortgage is c.£3k pm repayment so in northern england most houses are affordable to people with supercars but not everyone wants one.

In England there is a perception that you buy the biggest car etc and the biggest house you can afford but you should buy what you wish smile

Whilst I agree to a certain extent, what you describe is very different from having a 3 bed semi and a million + in cars.

I had a neighbour who had a new Ferrari/Porsche/Range Rover/Bentley etc. every few months. His father owned a number of dealerships and used to swap them in and out (As a tax dodge I am led to believe although I have no idea how this works) as and when.

Personally my rule of thumb is not to spend more than 10% of my net worth on cars. Houses are a far safer bet and generally appreciate over time unlike the majority of cars

Each to his own.
I don't have and don't want a family and I do not need a house. although I might get one (house that is) at some point as having a big garage/barn for cars would be very nice to have.
Certainly am planning to have a large percentage of my net worth tied up in cars at any given point

Congratulations! It's absolutely beautiful! I especially love the yellow stitching on the interior - it's a really nice touch.

Use it in good health!

Found out my 570S is going to be ready next month, two months before I am ready to take delivery! So clearly there is no substantial wait time for bespoke orders these days.

Sadly travel and other commitments won't allow me to take early delivery but I'll pop into Ascot to see it in its delivery wrapping in June smile

Factory visit also confirmed. I'm going to enjoy this summer; driving the 570S to Austria for the F1GP the weekend after delivery then we'll pop into the Nurburgring on the way home, then lots of track days to follow smile
