£400 at Hatfield just over a year ago, yeah a grand sounds like a lot. Maybe call some other dealers?

£984 doesn’t sound right, I’m sure it was about £400 more for a car with lapsed warranty, this was to cover the inspection..

Thanks for your replies. I will ring around and see what toher dealers are asking.

They did say that they would want the car for 2 days for the inspection. Not sure if that sounds normal or not.

Manchester want £840 for the MPI and only require the car for the day. Just waiting for Birmingham to get back to me.

Same Extended Warranty price of £3,276 as Leeds.

Prices starting to get silly plus this is the cost providing everything checks out ok, suspension bushes being cracked or split seems to be a favourite especially on cars that have been stood a while, fingers crossed everything’s ok for you ..

Good to know Leeds are in line with other dealers on the extended warranty discounts for older cars biggrin, in fact they are a little cheaper than McNF by £116

I think I am reaching the conclusion for my first foray into supercar ownership an r8 v10 gen 2 is the better choice for me. Its 3k per year cheaper in warranty and servicing and if items do fail it will be more reasonable
to repair. Also, there is an Audi 2 miles from my door. I’ll look at mclarens again after that.
Have a look at RE performance on you tube and speak to Ricky. The wrong R8 can be a money pit like anything else.
I love an R8 and had one but the McLaren is another step up imho, get a good one and run it for a year under warranty and see how you go
