McL 570S Door - Does this look right?

It's quite common to have mismatched panels, albeit to a lesser degree that this one. It looks like the lower rear panel is needing adjusted as the door aligns properly with the top rear panel. I'm on my third McLaren, the second one needed adjustment and it was brand new. the dealer sorted it in minutes.

Agreed, mine was the same, passenger door sill alignment wasn't acceptable and the dealer adjusted without any issues. Not good, and should have been sorted before it left the factory, but quite straight forward for them to rectify.As others have said it's piss poor alignment, all part of the McLaren experience.
The problem that you sometimes have as I have found on my 720s, is that when they align perfectly they allow wind noise in where it's not sealed correctly. To stop this happening you end up with a car that looks like it's suffered the result of accident damage.

I'd like to see if you don't mind. Still looking for a 720 and would rather go in with my opens open. Looks like the one that was on Collecting Cars a couple of weeks ago. Guess it didn't sell as its not coming up in their sold section.
If its the same car then the seller was questioned about the alignment and replied that his local dealer had quoted a minimal charge for labour to fix. Can't remember the amount but it was so little as to be inconsequential.
If you're concerned then buy on the proviso that its rectified prior.

If the car is out of warranty, it's either been like that for over 3 years so isn't as bad in the flesh as the photo suggests, or the door isn't fully closed, or it's been recently dismantled / adjusted badly.
There was a 'Harry's Garage' road test of a 570s spider a few years ago, a really good overview in which he highlights the poor panel gaps on the door suggesting that the design is just too complex with too many conflicting panel angles around the unconventional hinge arrangement. Its a poor design and some cars clearly are better than others, but very rarely perfect!
