TBH, whatever the issue and/or corrective action it's a pretty poor advert for the Brand.
Totally agree. Doesn't leave a good impression at all.

If I were already a Mclaren owner and had experience first hand of how easily issues like this were resolved then it probably wouldn't concern me that much but from a potential first time customers perspective it doesn't look good.

It would have never left the factory like that... Or it shouldn't have.

Screams that it's had an event on that side, door off to fix something, maybe some paint.

Either way, whoever worked on it clearly wasn't wearing their specs and had leather gauntlets on when replacing things. laugh

I was just about to highlight the same.

That's more than just a door slightly out of alignment.

Having brought a brand new one direct from the factory, I can assure you that they do!

rofl

At the other end of the scale you have Rolls Royce.
Built by craftsman and engineers to an impeccible standard by skill sets handed down over generations.

Then we have McLaren, one can only assume manufactured by apprentices on college day release that spend most of the day stoned, where EVERY car is a Friday afternoon build.

hehe

If anyone let's a minor bodywork misalignment diviate from their whole car experience they must be sadder then the most sad person, a sad person could ever meet smile

+1. As a Mac and also Tesla owner, it’s still surprises me how the amazing progress gets lost in complaints about trivial non-functional crap.

Sure, I’d prefer these issues weren’t there, but I’d rather just easily get the small stuff fixed than be stuck with the “perfectly made” same-old-stuff from the laggards.
