This looks good value - can't be many one owner examples out there.

Never really understood why that makes much difference. I'm the second owner of mine - not convinced that really means it's worth less.https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202007301...
I think the truth is somewhere in the middle, I'd not want a 5 year old supercar with 9 owners. At the same time I don't think a one owner carries any more premium. Normally if the previous owner has had it a few years then moved on its a good sign, short tenures might mean its a bit of a lemon.
Regardless, these are such a bargain given their performance, the carbon tub and folding hard top roof. In my varied garage, the 650 spider slots nicely into the ICE convertible super car niche at a great price, and reputation for being quite solid. Mine has been flawless.
Just reflecting that, e.g., a 720 over time will be considered performance wise just an increment up (and similar Italians or Germans, incrementally lower) and at the moment almost double the price.

Having just taken out a friend’s son for a 21st birthday surprise in flawless weather, I couldn’t agree more. It’s only the 6h time I’ve driven my 650sSpider Spider and I am awestruck every time at the neck snapping performance and incredible looks. A bargain at the price.
Love reading stuff like this! Can’t wait to get my hands on mine!!12pack said:

I think that mine has rendered my SL63 redundant. The things that the SL does better it only does a bit better while in the areas where the McLaren excels it’s worlds apart.Just reflecting that, e.g., a 720 over time will be considered performance wise just an increment up (and similar Italians or Germans, incrementally lower) and at the moment almost double the price.

Yes, it’s that way with my V12 Vantage, Of course that V12 still sounds marvelous and the manual makes it special, but it doesn’t get much of a drive these days.Gassing Station | McLaren | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
