That does look like a lovely example with plenty of options too I wonder how much movement on price there potentially is on a car like this?.A nice looking orange 650s couple coming up on collecting cars soon too.
For the CC car, Signs of rodent damage in the engine bay according to the condition report - proceed with caution!

Jardine Select usually retail cars not up to the standard of Approved or they would be in the franchise network.

That car was only recently sold on CC, so the buyer must have dropped out. I'd be vary cautious with it.

Which one? The Orange on one CC or the one at Jardine?

I was watching that one. Might be wrong, but I don’t think it made the reserve, so didn’t actually sell.

The one at Jardine has plenty of options. The orange one looks nice I wonder what it was reserved at originally?.My thoughts are it will go to mid high 60s then fees on top so possibly a 70k car all in ?.

To round out the topic, I picked up my Mantis Green 650s Coupe today from Thorney; even the weather was in my favour.

What a car, what a thing! Had my first petrol station comments, kids waving at me driving through towns a villages, such a sense of occasion.

I cannot wait to take it out on more trips and book some track days as well to see what it can really do. I am used to fast acceleration from my Tesla M3 performance but when those turbos spool up and you accelerate onto a dual carriage way, the pull 40 and up all the way to (ahem) 70 is extraordinary.

This is a good day!

Congratulations! I really enjoyed the whole process of 'getting used to' having/driving a McLaren since last Feb, feeling my way into the car's responses and capabilities.

Congrats and welcome to the 650s (+ Tesla) club. I have an MS plaid, but the 650 is so much more fun.

Congratulations - looks stunning and making me green with envy ;-) . I’m still torn between 650S and 570S. Generally prefer the 650S but the main dealer warranty costs at over £5k per year now are extortionate and jumps for cars over 10 years old. Thorney and V are both hours away from me whereas main stealer is on my doorstep. Also assume that these cars are often in for best part or more than a day at a time so would be multiple round trips or overnight stays with the indies - my time is important to me. Thorney also seems to be incredibly busy so likely 1-2 month wait to get any work done. Don’t think I’m brave enough to self warranty. Any suggestions?

I drove both and ended up with a 570s. Just had an edge on looks for me, bought privately and transferred the mclaren warranty straight over to me. I'm also nowhere near Thorney so will stick with mclaren leeds or Manchester. Definitely wanted some protection and back up. Warranty renewal has been quoted at £2.7k.

I was at the same point. 650s is just a bit more 'special'. V will transport your car and still charge less than a main dealer. also having spoken to Thorney and V, the 650s is just a more reliable/better built car than the 570s.

I found V to be easier to talk to and deal with out of the 2 main specailsts. They'd get my work.

The super series warranty is not over £5k a year - it's a few hundred under that, although still significantly more than sport series.

It is a pain if you're not near an Indy - but having said that, I was pleasantly surprised to find that servicing on my first 650 (owned 3 years) was less at official dealers than my Ferrari (360) had been at Indy's.

My current 650 is serviced by V who are superb.

My first 650 had extended warranty for the first two years, then I didn't bother. Current one has no warranty - both cars have been at least as reliable as Porsche / Ferrari / Aston than came before them - didn't have / need warranty on them, don't need one on my 650 either.

You’re correct on warranty price for cars up to 10 years old and either currently under warranty or they have the same price on offer until end of June. After that or if it’s not currently under warranty it jumps but is also higher for cars older than 10 years. I got all this from my local McDealer

Any idea what V charge for transport? If only they did warranty as well…
