Of which one, the one above now at Scott Hardy, or the one in Chesterfield that is 15 grand cheaper? There are 3 others within £15k as well, including one from Thorney.

It's the current state of the market, and interest rates causing caution.

It's the same all over.

Last March when I bought a new Range Rover, they were just about to introduce another £4.5k price and they were doing £10-20k overs.

I have just declined my SV order that's arrived due to the 'improved' ergonomics and they have overed me a £7.9k discount to reconsider.

I have sourced a pre reg 2 month old '73 plate with 300 miles that is being offered to me for £33k less than list as the last 2 potential buyers failed to secure finance.

Great time to buy just now, but as ever, it will turnaround.

It went for £170k including fees, needing paint & possibly wings. Also missing services. Paint and wings £5k (possibly more), missing history £5k (conservative) impact? put on £20k margin (around normal for a 675LT) and its £210k. Even the tyres were date stamped 6 years old, always a give away on condition and treatment.

I am sure Scott Hardy will also provide warranty, trade in opportunity & finance options. For most buyers a car that needs a bit of work on CC with no dealer facilities / warranty is a step too far. You can always hand the car back to a dealer, you can't on CC, its a risk with anything on there. If you look at every 675LT that has sold on CC they have all gone for around £170k for a coupe and £200k for a spyder.

There are 73 x 675LT coupes in the UK. So they are a very limited market, they are not really a 'tick box' car, you need to want one over and above its competitors. The chances of a buyer materialising at the same time as one comes up for sale at a time limited auction are very low. Most buyers take time to source their ideal car / colour / spec and would probably rather pay more for the right spec car. It took me 2 years to find one in the spec I wanted and when I did the price was the price.

I have no idea why a seller would put a car like a 675LT on CC. Especially when known 'expert' sellers like Alastair Bols & The Autolounge would charge around £5k SoR. I expect AB, who is fastidious re preparations & sale condition, would have wanted around £10k - £20k spending to bring the car up to his exacting standards to put on sale. So the seller just took his chances on CC rather than spaend what was necessary, let the next owner pay?

Which is why if you want a 675LT buy one from an expert who really knows them and has been through the car with a fine toothcomb leaving no nasty surprises or immanent spending.

I would really quite like a 675 (just do not have the spare cash at the moment) and I'd probably be happy to buy one that needs paint etc as long as it is mechanically well looked after if it saves some money. Don't need a visually perfect car, as my cars usually end up with some scratches etc anyway. I'd also likely buy it in the UK instead of Germany if it is cheaper and just leave it on a UK plate (instead of paying import duties etc to get it registered in Germany).

There is a higher miles oddly specified scoop car in the UK for sale at a good price?

I think the paint identified was just on 1 wing and the repair process is dig out fill and paint not replace panels, I’ve heard figures of about £1K per panel for this , new tyres probably about £1200, missing services is the strange one, it’s always going to be part of the cars history now and in the future,, but if that or warranty is no concern someone could of had the car on the road looking nice for around £172K which looks a lot more attractive than £205K.

My guess is they needed to sell, either due to refinancing or other issues, and figured they'd set the CC reserve at the best trade cash offer they got.

This was offered to an extremely well known Mac specialist who declined it as it required as mentioned well north of £20k of remedial work just to get it to a decent standard, but ultimately it still wouldn't be something he would be comfortable selling.

Even in a depressed market, when something is cheap, it's cheap for a very good reason.

These are great ultra reliable cars, but if its neglected, services missed or champagne plans but lemonade budget, the downside could be extremely expensive.

interesting
It does not sound like that high a cost tbh, my Scuderia produced 5-digit bills on a regular basis. I think it is just par for the course if you drive these cars. And a lot of what dealers say is usually cosmetic stuff, which I don't care about that much - ultimately if you track the car it will usually be chipped or if you drive it in Italy or street park it, it will be scratched etc - expensive to make perfect again, but does not make the car worse (to me).
Of course if it has some mechanical issues, was neglected in that respect, then you want to stay away as that might lead to big bills in the future
Unfortunately not in the market for one at this time, so academic unfortunately (wish I was as I would love one by this summer....)

and I think they are (very) undervalued
same as the 996 RS and the 550 Barchetta - all special low production cars from established manufacturers that trade well below where cars with much higher production numbers trade
never understood the car market, that is why I try to only sell cars if I have to as the ones I want usually do not appreciate smile then again, as I drive them a lot, mine would not appreciate all that much anyway

How do you know that it needed paint/ wings btw? Was there something in the advert that I missed?

Thank you
