Seen a Volcano Yellow 650 spider in the flesh for the first time today; what an unbelievable cool colour.

I have to say, it still looked like an ultra exotic new supercar, and not something that was probably 10 years old.

I think the last time I seen a 650 on the road was when the new owner of my one departed with it over 4 years ago.

Looking forward to seeing a 12c now; the seem to be aging fantastically also.

Yes, not just the looks but also from a performance perspective - not completely shamed by my EVs for acceleration. I’ve made small handling tweaks to mine, and it will likely remain my forever ICE supercar.

Was up for £97,500 and went pretty quickly so won't be far off that.

Strong money but a car in perfect condition.

And some look so different pendant on the light, definitely the best colour palette of all the supercar manufacturers.

Volcano orange is the colour I'd want.

That's what colour my 650 spider was; perhaps my most fav colour I have seen on a car.

The Volcano yellow 650 is the only other volcano colour I have seen now in the flesh.

I was very tempted by this car and went over it in some detail. A little bit rich for me and I wanted a Coupe in the end. They told me they had refused offers at £94k so I am guessing £95/6 ish. It was in beautiful condition and the interior looked new and it came with a decent plate as well.

I was lucky enough to own a Volcano Yellow 650S coupe for a while. The colour remains my all time favourite from the McLaren palette (even though the current car is Volcano Red). It changes shade so much and really pops and sparkles in direct sunlight …

Kudos to Jerry for adding the photographs of a Volcano Yellow 650 (without which this thread is worthless wink ), and ones in proper sunlight too.

There are also some pics of Am43's VY 570S in this thread https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
