Get Charge master to fit you a 32A socket. Costa £95, is completely future proof - get a different car with a different charger figment, get the relevant lead for your Type 2 socket. Otherwise they fit a tethered lead that fits a nominated car only

I filled out that form on chargemaster, hit submit and it just shows me the blank form again, no confirmation email, nothing. Anyone else had something similar?

I seem to fulfill the criteria so I've just applied.

As for you, it just pops up a 'thanks for that' box at the top and clears the form.

I await the phonecall...

Same here, just the blank form again. Odd.

Could someone post up a pic of their installed unit?

Martin, look up my Nissan Leaf Acenta thread over in readers cars, I posted a photo of my 32A socket unit.

As for Chargemaster, try calling them. I also got no email, but when I rang they did have my application they just hadn't done anything with it

Just to put some minds at ease, I registered weeks ago with the online form and just received my call back today. Unit is getting installed on the 15th and i've upgraded to the larger amp unit.

Chaps I called CM today asking when I would get a referral letter, chap said snowed under but re-apply now, I did this and got a referral email immediately, called EV arranged a fitting time for the enhanced unit (£99) and its going in 8am a week today - very quick but I get the impression you need to push.

My i3 doesn't get here till the end of November so I'll do it under the next scheme.

Thanks very much indeed for this post. Having applied already last week, I've just done likewise and reapplied, received the email, and my sexy new charger is being installed on the 19th!

I've gone for the standard one, because I'm very 'umble.

Just got the letter too, spoke to someone, and they said they'd call me back in about 20 minutes, so lets see what happens...

I just got the letter, called EV, no immediate electrician availability in my area but they are trying to arrange. Would be good to get done as looking at a used Leaf now prices are interesting, to improve on the 22mpg on our disco doing local trips....

Well they called me back and said they might be able to fit this in on tuesday, but they need some info that I'm a little unclear on.

I'm installing in an underground car park, and they needed to know if the consumer unit has a trip switch, and how far it is from the space since they'll be a charge if its far. I spoke to a few people working here and apparently I need to get the managing agents permission for this, and I need to attach an electricity meter to it, so it doesn't look like I'll manage to make it happen any time soon.

Only just spotted this!

Right, so an EV might be on the cars for the mrs as her workplace car park has charging points now. But we don't know when we'll be changing or what to in the next 6 months.

However, we'd clearly like to take advantage of the scheme if possible. So what actually is the current position? If we apply now are we likely to get in on the outgoing scheme for a free one? Will we have to prove we have an EV or one on order?

And given we don't know what we might end up with which option is best?

Everything you have asked is in this thread, it probably would be quicker to read the thread than ask. (why I feel I need to point this out I don't know)

I have. And it remains unclear to me. Particularly regarding which option to go for.
