I believe that Chargemaster now have some of the rapid chargers up and running at these locations:

MK Coachway, 1-7 Coachway Road, Broughton, Milton Keynes MK10 9RU
Travelodge Hotel Silbury Boulevard, Milton Keynes MK9 1AL
SMK Bus Station, Elder Gate, Milton Keynes
Outside Xscape, Avebury Boulevard, Milton Keynes
Northfield Drive, Northfield, Milton Keynes
Silverstone Circuit Innovation Centre, Silverstone, Northants
Silverstone Circuit Wing, Silverstone, Northants
Cheltenham Racecourse, Cheltenham, Gloucester
W. Ganderton, Swan Garage, 20 Bridge Street, Buckingham MK18 1AF
Elms BMW, Clifton Parc, Caxton Rd, Bedford MK41 0GL
Oxford Belfry Hotel, Milton Common, Thame, Oxfordshire OX9 2JW
Elms BMW, 4 Sheepfold Ln, Cambridge CB23 6EF
Cambridge Belfry Hotel

Has anyone on here actually used one yet with their i3?

So I will runout of battery getting there from Leeds ish ...

Early days.

It's great to be in at the start --- a 10L petrol can in the boot may be the best insurance policy !

Au sujet de --- does it need 95 or better ?

The leaf-talk forum is the best place I've seen for info. Zap-Map is probably the best charging point map but it's not comprehensive (eg, it doesn't yet show these new rapids), maybe someone else knows of a better one?

Stopped in the Moto services today and it had the Ecotricity AC/DC fast charger the plug on the end of the AC charger was identical to my i3 cable i compared them side by side. I would have tried to plug it in, but there was a non ev parked in the space. Has anyone tried or know what the difference is?

Hi Ross thanks for your response, I was just a little confused on the Ecotricity site it says "CCS vehicles can use our 22kW AC charge points." on the map the 22kW charger is shown as the medium charger. The charger at the Moto services is marked as a Fast charger the maps shows this as a 43kW AC 7 pin this is where my confusion is. I was just wondering if it would work it is a shame about the 7kW ceiling on the charging though.

So I decided to pop into Cheltenham racecourse to plug into the mega charger, however its seems I don't have the right card, I do have 4 of the things but can't find out what I would need to use one of these. The unit is huge and has various leads coming out of it for different EV's. No reserved parking for electric cars by the unit which is a bit odd.

It should work with a BMW ChargeNow card. Have you got one of those?

You need one of the new Chargemaster cards. And be prepared to pay £7 / 30 min.

Presumably you can just use the app then? The BMW ChargeNow card should work too.

I'm not too worried about the cost (although it is outrageous) as I won't use them that often. Just handy for taking the i3 longer distances.

Yes, the app should work. Although apparently you need to pre-load it with £20 credit before you can use the app.

Do you have the BMW card? If so, do you still have to pay to use the rapid charger?

I tried all of these, do I need another one ? I could not see anything on the charge unit about using an app.

According to my correspondence with ChargeMaster it should work with your ChargeNow card.

I would call ChargeMaster and report that it didn't work.
