Ordered my P85D yesterday to replace my TVR T350. Will retain my I-MiEV for sprints and hill climbs and of course Brighton Speed Trials. Shown as delivery in June but I expect Aigust onwards - worth the wait.

Adam, thanks. I'm really looking forward to it - I didn't want to wait until Sept for an 85D, so I went for a RWD 85.
I didn't want to pay the money for an 85D! hehe so I've just put my deposit down on an S85 also. Boggo apart from the tech pack. Also April 15. Congratulations to you both.
I did go for the glass pano roof (more headroom), leather (resale and I prefer lighter colours - although the black cloth seats are nice), air susp (I need the additional ground clearance occasionally), dual chargers (in case I get 3 phase AC at home - not sure if I'll ever need it), tech pack (mandatory I think), ultra high fidelity (couldn't resist) and sub zero weather (to get the heated rear seats - family members insisted on this one!).

Just ordered a P85D. I'm told to expect delivery in June. I don't think I've ever been as excited about a car as this one.

Slippery, if you are an audiophile you may want to rethink the audio upgrade, I had a Tesla specific upgrade installed and several owners have now done the same thing.

PM me if you want to discuss.

Enjoy the new car - mine scheduled for May delivery...

Changed colour combo to blue with the 21" silver turbines today. Can't make my mind up about the interior. Does anyone know, is the grey closer to white, or is it more of a silvery grey shade? I'll go with black if it's the latter.

Had my 2nd test drive yesterday and was convinced that Tesla have nailed it with this car. Also spoke to a mate who lives near Seattle who has run his model S for over 2.5 years and 35k miles without issue and is evangelical about it.. So placed my order yesterday for the 85kw dual motor model- delivery is September.

Chose the plain white body colour with tan interior and matt finish wood trim. Not sure how the white/tan combo will look tbh, has anyone seen one with this combo in the flesh?

For the chap asking earlier about grey leather,it's definitely a mid grey colour (think elephant) rather than paler. Hope this helps.

I went with the black in the end. Next generation front seats (which are by Recaro I believe) and executive rear seating.
I was told delivery in June when I ordered, so I was fairly gutted when it shifted to August, which I will end up moving to September because of the new reg. I'm sure it will be worth the wait though!

Was in a Tesla taxi a couple of weeks ago, and was surprised that the interior was fked! They haven't been oput 'that' long, but bits of it were torn, broken and in places held together by duct tape. Maybe best treat them gently!

Don't think I updated this thread. Ordered a p85d last month and it originally said June I think but then got moved to August.

I too am swaying on the spec. P85d is sorted but I specced black with black next gen seats and a black alcantra headliner and carbon fibre dash panels. Starting to have doubts on the exterior color. It looks stunning in black I know. I've never been keen on red and I've had a white car recently so back to black.

I like blue but only saw a blue tesla passing in London so no up close time.

Black interior is a must with kids and prolific blue Jean wearing.

So far I haven't changed the spec but black on black hmmmmm.

I too am really excited and this wait is almost unbearable

Look at as many real online photos and videos as you can. You only get a fortnight from ordering to change the spec from memory.

I've definitely confirmed, guess I'm locked in as I ordered nearly a month ago

Oh well, I'm happy with the interior as its kid friendly but I can always wrap it!

Yep, you've done it now! Best get friendly with your local detailer, so you can keep that non metallic black paint looking its best! wink

Speak to your Tesla Delivery Specialist - you can change your spec up to just before the car goes into production.

I see anything up to 10 of these per day where I live. Colours I've seen are green for taxis - yeauch! Blue, Black, White, Grey and Dark Red/Burgundy. The Black with lots of chrome bits look amazing, but my favourite is the Blue which maks me think of Aston Mendip Blue. The Red is lovely too. Grey and White, not so keen and always look dirty.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, though!

Damn. Reading this, I can't wait for the Model X, which is what I need for our DD. I just hope that the tax breaks are still in place when it comes out.

My S85 is due to arrive in 10 days smile. Any experience here on getting reasonable insurance quotes? Is Tracker an easy fit to a Tesla? (any companies offering cover without a Tracker?)
