Just a heads up for anyone in the EV market.

Renault are offering a £5000 deposit contribution on ZOE Dynamique models.

You can have one with Nil deposit for £129pm (+ Battery lease) on a 4 year PCP.

This isn't an advert, just giving a friendly notice to anyone who may be interested. smile

To work out the maths, how much is a battery - say on 10-12000 miles a year (using average mileage figures)

My hybrid Toyota costs 10p a mile in dinosaur juice to compare (60mpg, 1.24 a litre)..

For 12k per year the car would be £140 and the battery would be £93 so a total of £233pm. smile

I think you would need to add in the leccy charging cost too? Would that be around 3p or 4p a mile if charging at home?

I think 3p per mile would be fair to assume.

Butter - any truth to this (appreciate that you might not be able to comment though..)?

Hope it's true - I'd love to consider a Zoe when the time comes to replace my Leaf.

I haven't heard anything about it. It would be a good idea to give people the choice though (IMO You're still better renting the battery) but lots of people do want to buy them.

Think the £129 a month including battery rental is for 6k per annum and the deal I viewed also mentioned a £2,750 deposit

No the £129 is just the car with nil deposit.

Previously the deposit contribution was £3000 and it is now £5000.

Battery lease is always charges seperately.

Is there any online info on this deal so we can look at the T&Cs???

My Mrs is after a new small car for the 10mile commute to work, she's currently running around in a 56 plate citroen C5 that I inherited of my "papa" and she fekin hates it!

Not according to this deal

Edited to say, I'm sure you could lose the £ 99 acceptance fee laugh

Read the terms and conditions below. Someone has cocked up and put £129 instead of £199.

Also, that £45 per months gives you a massive 750 miles per quarter. Brilliant value when you could have 6000 for £70.

Eeek, that's terrible. Do you think it's a ploy to get people through the door, if so I feel it will have the opposite effectmad

I saw one last night in a dealership, £199 deposit, £199 per month over 36 months. That was for 5K miles per year on contract hire I think. The real life range of 62 miles in winter is a long way from the NEDC quoted range of 140 miles though.

Starting to like these. One drove by me the other day and it had some sort of futuristic sound generator.

Yes, they have a small speaker in the grill that plays a sound at low speed to alert people that you're there..... You can turn it off though! hehe

Hmm, interesting Mr Face.
I don't suppose they are doing any deals on a shorter term? I like the idea of one but I just can't stick with any car for 4 years.
I assume this is on base spec? Any figures for the better specs?
