Small print suggests the battery is additional?

British Gas coming to install the charger on 16th Jan, which was the first available appointment. Think that I'll have the car for a couple of weeks without charger, although if it arrives fully charged I should be able to get it to work to charge it there.

That's a long wait! I suppose Christmas is going to affect it though. Where in the country are you?

I've just had final confirmation mine is ordered and on it's way to the supplying dealer. Just waiting for BG to contact me to arrange a date, I'm not convinced they will do anything other than mess it up.

TBH I don't really want the car until the charger is installed but then I don't want to be paying the monthly PCP for the car to be sat in the dealership. Chicken and egg situation.

Anyone looked into getting a "granny cable" - you can charge of a normal 3 pin plug then, I wonder if the dealer would lend one out while the charge point gets sorted?

Yes, not ideal. I'm in Aylesbury.

Good shout about asking the dealer for a loan cable - will ask about this when they confirm my delivery date

As an aside I can see an opportunity in these cables and have found the quality source in China, they are about £70 FOB (plus freight) and I am setting up a website to sell them in the new year - all come about because of the silly high prices. I can see a lot getting damaged by being run over etc

Well if you can post on here when they're available I'll probably have one - will be useful for visiting friends without a charger (although the rate of charging suggests that I might be outstaying my welcome!)

I've been following this thread with a keen interest as I'm very close to taking the plunge.

One thing I will say for those of you ordering the above cables - I don't know if they changed it recently but from my research the Zoe does not work well with a 3 pin plug. It charges with horrendously low efficiency at these low power levels and it can take 20hours+ as well as incurring electricity usage well above that actually stored in the battery.

The Leaf on the overhand is much more efficienct for this with an ~8hour charge time. Unfortunately this is one of the main reasons I'm currently leaning towards the Leaf.

Please let us be guinae pigs for the ordering process eh chief, I can feel a PH group buy dicount coming on!! wink If they work with a degree of efficiency then they are properly useful.

They are stupid expensive. £135 for an arm rest, £400 for a cable!! That would buy you a lot of petrol!

Nowt wrong with white either, the visual impact of fancy paint soon rubs off when the thing is covered in road grime.

Picking mine up Friday. Energy blue, but standard alloys.
Charger installed months ago and recently upgraded from a type1 (leaf) to a type2 (zoe) lead and plug.

just back from a test drive of a Zoe at Renault Cambridge. I was quite impressed it goes quite well and has enough space for me at 6'6.

The dealer offered £156 + £60 per month at 6k miles per year so a bit rich for me, would have to be a good bit cheaper to get me out of my V8

Try Renault Sheffield - should be around the £156 mark all in at that mileage ISTR

That is indeed a bit rich.

Try Daniel Boldock at Evans halshaw in Sheffield. He is well aware of this PH wkfest currently underway on the Zoe's and will likely do you a much better deal than that.

Mine is 7500miles
£150 deposit
£155 per month inclusive of battery.

I was also pretty impressed with the interior room, I'm 6'4" and had plenty of space.
