Use Duracell next time biglaugh

Its a Renault so probably started disintregating already.
Thanks. Helpful.

Sorry was just trying to lighten the situation, didn,t realise it was such a serious situation you have other cars right?
Hope you give the garage hell after your experiences so far.
No offence intended.
All the best.
It's OK, I'm just a bit sore that a 5 day old car should do this.

Is it possible to do a reboot of the system? IE get out, lock doors, wait 10 minutes?

Sorry to here of your issues Insight. Makes me slightly nervous of taking delivery of mine next week, but hopefully your issue is not too common and easily sorted.

Out of interest, are you able to move the car at all? Reason I ask is that we have another car but the Zoe would be blocking it in, rendering that useless too.

It could be pushed, Renault Bristol seam to think it needs a new traction battery, battery controller, possibly motor too.

Still no car here but expected today at dealer, I have my ecotricity card and they have a very fast charger 10 miles from my home - so I can go and fast charge but use up 20 miles lol

It asked for a reg number when applying so I gave them my petrol cars reg number which they happily accepted.

Looks like ours is coming tomorrow too.

No charge point date though so it's going to be a bit dodgy to say the least. Nearest 32a 7kw point is at a new asda store about 7 miles away. Need to suss out where the nearest supercharge point is.

One thing that pissed me off.. Went to sign the docs to find a £99 finance facility fee that wasn't mentioned, wouldn't waive it. Soured the process somewhat.

Those that have bought a Zoe who have you insured it with; struggling to find someone to insure my wife on it (28 years old) as after a long conversation with our insurance company asking how you spell Zoe, what fuel it was; what size engine and auto or manual they say they dont insure electric cars....

My insurance is underwritten by Midas. I gave them the reg of the dealers demo and they quoted me no problem. Actually came in £30 cheaper than my Celica

Try aviva. They needed to refer to underwriting to make sure the battery was properly covered, but all sorted easily enough.
