It looks like for 6k pa over 2 years it will cost £3800 - I think that's as good as it will get
I am thinking to buy one at £10,200 plus battery and sell it after 2 years might be the cheapest option - bit of a gamble ?
and herein lies the problem with the electric car - the battery cost, prices with the battery purchase are shown asI am thinking to buy one at £10,200 plus battery and sell it after 2 years might be the cheapest option - bit of a gamble ?

i Expression £17,793.00 incl. VAT
i Dynamique ZEN £19,393.00 incl. VAT
i Dynamique INTENS £19,393.00 incl. VAT versus £11,945 + battery rental
What is the second hand value of these cars where either the battery is owned (what happens if it goes wrong for second+ owner) and/or how will selling on a car that requires a monthly payment £50 a month for battery rental work out?
Is a three old Intens with battery going to sell for £9,696.50 (50% depreciation)
Is someone buying a three old intens at £5,972.50 (50% depreciation) looking to be tied into a monthly battery rental contract for the whole time they own the car?
If you rent the battery, does it automatically get replaced if there is a problem? Surely the rest of the car will last longer than the battery and the performance of the battery will decrease over time.
I though the idea of renting was that it would get replaced as battery technology improves over the life of the car.
The Zoe is still a lot cheaper than anything equivalent (and you get the £5k government allowance don't you?)

Yes, that is correct. And when it is considered in with the overall cost of a new one, it is perhaps easier to stomach than when it comes to be sold on to the 2nd and subsequent owners.I though the idea of renting was that it would get replaced as battery technology improves over the life of the car.

On a 12 month contract up to 7,500 miles per year, it is £70 + month (not sure if that is subject to VAT or not?)
So, someone buying one in a few ears for something around £6k then has £840 a year to pay to renault for the battery. Even selling one to a dealer, the battery rental needs to be transferred too...

I'm just waiting on confirmation on the deals I can do
Will you post the info or PM people that requested numbers? Also, if there are delivery costs as well as other incentives i.e. free servicing, breakdown road side assit etc could they also be mentioned? As already mentioned, any indication of a better deal due to a bulk purchase would also be greatBet you wish you hadn't bothered now;) Although if things go to plan I would imagine a healthy Xmas commission is on the horizon

Short answer - yes. Now Renault have introduced a battery purchase option, I think trying to sell one with a battery lease will be even more difficult in the years to come.I am thinking to buy one at £10,200 plus battery and sell it after 2 years might be the cheapest option - bit of a gamble ?

Take your example costs:
PCP over 2 years - Total cost £3800
Outright purchase - The battery lease will still cost you £1200 so the car will have to be worth more than £7600 at the end of the 2 years for the outright purchase to make sense. I'd say that's very unlikely. 1 year old Zoes with 1-2k miles can be had for less than £9k from Renault garages already.
Seems like a big gamble for no real benefit I can see...
My dilemma has just worsened. I now have a code for an Nissan employees deal so it's back up in the air, Zoe, Leaf arghh.
Two deals are as follows:
3yr PCP on a white Zoe Inten covering 7.5k per annum = £99 deposit followed by £183 a month (this include battery rental for 7.5k) total cost = £6,786. Not bothered about GMFV as I will hand car back after term.
2yr PCP (specific for Nissan employees only) White Leaf Tekna (non Flex) covering 6k per annum = £500 deposit followed by £189 a month, total cost= £5,036.
I fancy the Leaf but the Missus loves the Zoe, although neither of us have driven it yet (24hr test drive tomorrow). Car will be our main daily transport but we will have a second ICE for our longer journeys. Just have to convince her the Leaf will be the better buy, leather etc but don't reslish the challenge.

If she's anything like my Mrs she will declare the Zoe 'cute' and you will have no chance, I'm afraidTwo deals are as follows:
