Nice to see they are allowing the stereotype to prosper!!!

I had a problem with my i3 and they gave me a loaded m5 press demo for the duration of the problem. A lovely hamper for the wife and a free servicing pack for 3 years as well as jumping all over the problem and keeping me informed all the way. Part of the delay was them replacing a load of supplemental parts as well to ensure no repetition.
I couldn't fault how they dealt with it.

Just saying, lol
Twice the price though. Love the i3 btw.

Our zoe is 600 odd miles in and other than a very minor issue with the headlight aim it's been brilliant. We also had issue with timing of the charger install being a few weeks after delivery. Renault customer services were brilliant and gave me a free 3pin charger too.

No complaints so far

Just to add in what was wrong with our Zoe, my boss (I work as a spanner monkey) was in the dealership earlier picking up a part and saw a tech he knows and asked.

Apparently they has to replace the entire traction battery, from my basic knowledge at this point that is the main one o.O

The loan demo car has been faultless though to be fair, gf continues to love it. Apparently she is eco mode, no heater etc all day until she starts the journey home when it is heater full blast, eco off and Beyonce up loud !

So in summary:

French automobile electrics are no better now they are making solely electric cars.

And it's not that they are new kids on the electic block, either.

See the youtube video I put on the other Zoe thread about how far you can really go with no battery.

I can't quite believe this, but the HVAC system is playing up....again.

Started making the same noise it did last time, this piss poor reliability is becoming beyond a joke.

This is dispiriting. When/if er indoors Fabia packs up with another expensive repair we had more or less decided on a Zoe as replacement.

Use profile absolutely fits for a plug in EV. The Skoda is 13 years old and in all that time has only been outside Worcestershire four times. Mostly used within a radius of ten miles. Of those four trips, the one to the office in Cheltenham just off J11 could be done on the Zoe's range with a steady right foot , even on the low winter range, and the other three to South Yorkshire we usually stop at Donington Park or somewhere for a coffee and emptying the personal tank, which would allow a recharge.

Ah well bugger. Plan B whatever that is.

After several attempts at getting customer care to call they finally do (shortly after I sent an e-mail to Renault group MD).

Gave them two options.

1. Collect the car, leave me with a Zoe whilst mine is being repaired.

2. Replace the car given my previous experience.

I'm disappointed for you Mr Insight.
I was following your other thread and by your posts I could tell that you genuinely excited about getting the Zoe.
Hope it works out for you.

Apparently the heating on a Zoe does make more noise than on an ICE engined car, that I agree with. But really.......

This is looking really bad for the reliability of the Zoe.

I'm slightly worried.
Slightly worried!!

Goodness me (or words to that general effect!)

My problem is I like the car, it's better in my opinion than the Leaf. It's a nicer thing to sit in & a better looking car. Otherwise it would be handed back I I'd be walking away.

Noise is ridiculous, assuming that it's recorded from a position in a seat and not with the mic pressed up close to the source. I'm sure you're not doing that IN51GHT but you know what I mean.

It's taken from above the engine, the source is buried way down under the car.

Ok so out of interest what does it sound like with bonnet closed, and sat inside?

Loud enough that you can hear it at 40mph.
