Ok so out of interest what does it sound like with bonnet closed, and sat inside?
Loud enough that you can hear it at 40mph.
That's a bit crap. Look forward to hearing what Renault have to say.

What might possess them to think that that might in any way be something that might reasonably be offered to, never mind be acceptable to a customer? This is real dark-age customer service stuff.

If only you had a large jet engine with an afterburner you could use to incinerate it

Jokes aside

The main thing stopping me from getting a Zoe is the epic problems encountered with them by yourself and others

A month?!

Park it up outside with some kind of banner in the window. That should focus some minds.

Mr Insight has been touched by the unlucky stick unfortunately (remember it was even delivered damaged) but overall for a dirt cheap french car I am not hearing too many tales of woe.
My heater blows hot and cold literally and we just put up with it - everything else is a delight from the walk away locking to the superb audio streaming better than any DAB radio.

It's this sort of experience with RUK Customer Services that drove me from the brand. Hope you get a decent resolution Insight, but I'd not be keen to wait a month.

My experience so far with getting issues sorted hasn't been positive either. The dealers have an uncanny knack of making you feel like you're a nuisance to be dealt with rather than a valued customer.

But, our car is still great and we don't regret it.

The heating is fixable it seems, mine now blows warm consistently over the entire journey when set to "auto". Get it booked in for a software update if it's not behaving.

Just called Liverpool and they haven't heard of new software or of the problem despite selling "loads" of Zoes - what exactly did they do

I had a brief glimpse of the job sheet and it detailed some procedure for resetting then updating the system. Not 100% sure though as they don't let you look at the technical info.

I get the impression that the way it works is, you book it in with a detail of the issue. They then hook it up to the computer which shows no faults, they then contact renault UK technical, they then advise on a specific procedure to follow. Just because your dealer hasn't hear of the issue doesn't mean there isn't one. You might be the first person to flag it up to them?

Just book it in through the central booking system and take it from there. For reference, ours was heating up for the first 5-10 mins then blowing cool thereafter, only way to stay warm was to set the temp to 25 then fan on manual. It seems to work fine now.

Still getting feedback whine through my TV and induction hob, I'm borrowing their demo car next week to check if that does it too.

I feel sorry for you, honestly, but the overwhealming advice available out there is that renault electrics, ancilliarys and aftersales are dire but you seem surprised this is the case. Theres no smoke without fire. From a fellow renault owner.
I wouldn'tt buy a vito then get surprised if it rusted itself into scrappable condition inside the warranty period then have the claim rejected because it was left out in the rain, because hundreds of people report that to be the ownership experience.
I hope they become unusually helpful for you though with this being a new product type and being keen to promote it.

Finally starting to get a little joy with Renault.

They have offered, if I want, to take the car back, I said that's the next step if it fails again. My problem is I prefer the Zoe the the Leaf, so if I can get a reliable Zoe I'd like to stick with it.

I am also being given the repairing dealerships Zoe demonstrator whilst mine is being repaired.

So at last it looks like Renault may be starting to take notice.

One hopes they are taking notice because there are a few of us that seem to be holding off or being diverted onto alternative options by this saga along with other reports of problems.

There is a glimmer of hope.

Customer care have called again tonight, the heating pump has failed, same failure mode as last time.

his time they have established the reason for failure. There is a leak, allowing the gas & lubricant to escape, thus the bearings run dry & ultimately fail. This leak was not picked up during the initial repair, but they seam convinced it was there.

Renault UK are sending their own EV specialist down tomorrow to check the car over & make sure it's fixed properly.

The leak and loss of bearing lube adds up, encouraging I suppose.

Here's my charging noise, if you're interested!

I borrowed the dealers demo ZOE today and that does the same thing also so it's obviously an inherent flaw with the charging system. I've raised a complaint with customer services as the dealer is now at a dead end, I'm not convinced it can be "fixed" as such so what Renault might suggest is a complete mystery at the moment.

It is somewhat surprising the AC system does not have a "Low Pressure" switch in it?
