Hi there, I got my Acenta on a two year deal last September, 7.5k miles p.a. £500 deposit and £134 per month. This was for one in White which is a cost option colour as the 'free' colour has become Red. I think that there are plenty of deals on offer through the network although I got mine through my friendly Nissan dealer next door to me in Hexham.
Hope this helps......

Well, bit the bullet and put the deposit down on 2 x Teknas.
Managed to get both cars on 6k with £1600 deposit with £150 pm for 24 months.
Not the best deal seen so far, but good considering that it includes metallic paint on both and a second charging unit paid for by the dealership as the free ones are one per household.

Just want to give a special mention to Brian from JFE Exeter as he quoted the offer above right at the beginning and has been straight down the line from day 1, no waffle, no hard sell. As much as my heart said to do the deal with him, my local dealer matched his offer and a little bit more, so opted to stay local through ease. But if anyone down south west is after a leaf, try Brian first 01392 411440, you won't be dissapointed.

So in a couple of weeks, both ICE cars go to be replaced with EVs. Bold move or plain stupid? Time will tell!

We have a Leaf, and still run a petrol i30. The Leaf is brilliant to drive - you need to drive a single gear instant torque car to understand. And around town/regional drives its imperious. I've also taken it on quite a few longer trips but it has to be said that range suffers when its really cold.

Whats fun is that you can charge all over the place. I went to a meeting on Friday night, plugged into a charger for 2 hours, added 8kw of free leccy, thats a third of a tank added back on. But today I've done 224 miles. The Leaf would have done the run and the trans-pennine leg between Rotherham and Rochdale would have been entertaining. But I took the i30 because the Leaf would have added at least an hour to my trip today to recharge. Entirely doable. But longer.

To anyone looking at the increasingly silly deals and thinking hmmm. Take the deal. Seriouslly, I negotiated a good deal last summer, but these are better. And the Leaf is a fun car to drive. On the kind of deals on the table the car is the cost of your monthly fuel bill. So why not!

We ordered ours last night from Bristol Street Northampton- solid red Tekna, no options and 7.5k miles pa- £500 down and 25x £165.89. We could have had 5k miles for £150pm but thought the extra miles were worth the small bump in price. It's scheduled to arrive at easter- can't wait!

Corey, their EV specialist is really enthusiastic and a pleasure to deal with. He also mentioned that they have a few left to sell before the end of the month so if you're thinking about one I'd definately recommend giving him a ring.

I can't understand the logic behind Nissans mileage policy.
You could have had 5K miles for £150pm but opted for the 7.5K miles at £165.89pm.

@£165.89pm x 25m=£4147.25
@£150pm x 25=£3750

Difference=£397.25 less on 5K miles

Cost per mile over limit from Nissan=0.10p
Difference between 5K & 7.5K = 2.5K
0.10p x 2500= £250

So by going for the lesser monthly figure with less miles and paying the extra mileage fee at the end, you'd be £147.25 in credit!

Not knocking your decision, just Nissans extra mileage pricing policy. Unless of course I've done a massive maths fail and not factored something in?

It's over 2 years, so it would be £250x2- £500.

£165.89 x 25 + £500= £4647.25

£150.00 x 25 + 500 + (2500 x 2 x 10p)= £4,750.

We're just over £100 better off going for the higher mileage (assuming we do it of course).

Think you'll find this is £149 more than the deal I quoted to start this thread smile

The £149 document fee is the difference.

I know, hence I signed upto your deal! biggrin

However, Matt sold his allocation last week as far as I know. So this is the next best thing for anyone who missed out :thumb:

Hi there,

Anyone any ideas as to what straight forward cash deals are out there ?

If we buy one (currently 1 day into a 7 day test drive but going ok so far) it will be a company purchase but bought outright rather than financed.

Not fussed about brand new, would take pre reg or ex demo with low mileage.

This one seems like a good deal to me: -

I reckon list on this is £26740 so not a bad saving

Thoughts ?

Tim

I'd be interested why you would go down this route, even as a company purchase. I looked at it, but couldn't see how it would work, for two main reasons;

i) The Nissan PCP deals are heavily subsided, not just at the front end in terms of the purchase price, but also at the back end with 'optimistic' RVs.

ii) There is a degree of uncertainty in terms of what an owned EV will be worth in 2 years time, as new technology comes along.

This is why a 2 year PCP deal is much better value for money, despite taking into account the 100% write off in your cooperation tax you would get if you purchased the car outright.

Hi there,

The only issue of a PCP might be the mileage.

Not sure Nissan would do a deal on someone wanting 35K per annum.

crikey... 35k miles per year in a Leaf sounds very ambitious.

I would have thought an i3 might be a better solution, allowing more range/journey flexibility for this kind of annual mileage?

I can see thought why at this mileage you would want to buy the car rather than PCP.

I'm trying to make the man maths work for me, so I can get a leaf!

I've found varying different figures for charging costs so I can't say for sure if it will work for me.

Can anyone give me a fairly accurate cost per mile based upon charging costs?

My daily journey would is a 35 miles round trip, a mix of town and A road.

I'm hoping I can run and lease a leaf for the same sort of money that I currently pay to run an old Diesel Toyota Verso.

Thanks
