Apologies for what is probably a stupid question. But taking the below deal as an example, would there be battery hire costs on top, or are they normally included? Or is it different each time, and I need to ask them?

I'd expect that to be battery included.
Lease battery cars have FLEX in the name.

Pragmatically though I'd always get confirmation because too many places dont understand.

Glynn Hopkins, Chelmsford. - £199 deposit, £202 PM over 24 months @ 10K miles PA for an Accenta. Numbers limited, not sure how many but one less than they had before I left the showroom a little earlier today... :-)

Oh, and one other thing which I'm vaguely surprised nobody has mentioned yet and which went a long way towards my taking the plunge. Nissan will supply an ICE car for up to 14 days and 2000 miles per year to cover trips which would't be practical in an EV.

Has anybody ever done this? Is it through the dealer (my dealer was not sure) or directly through Nissan? We do have an IC car for longer trips, but if it's part of the 'deal', it would be nice to put the miles on Nissan's car.

Looks like the push for September sales numbers have started smile

Nissan is suppose to be realising a 30kWh battery version Leaf soon (may be end of Septmeber), but it's likely the new car will have very little/no discount, unlike the current model.

According to the chap I deat with on Sunday it's through Nissan "....but ring us first and we'll make sure everything's sorted out for you..."..

We're retaing an IC car too but if we're doing a long-ish trip then a Note (or whatever) is going to be a nicer place to be than a rather tired Micra... :-)

Yes, I've done it through my local dealer - gave them a couple of week's notice, added their car to my insurance for a few days, sent them copy of the cover note & left my Leaf with them while I used their car.

It's a really useful extra tbh

I tried to arrange one from the dealer I bought the Leaf through for a trip from Gloucs to Sunderland and back. They offered me a Micra, so I got the train instead.

Were you expecting a GTR? :-)

Ha! Absolutely not, but for a long journey I'd expected and had been told at point of order that they had a couple of Jukes that they used as courtesy cars. In all honesty though, the after service from the garage has been quite poor.

48 hour test booked for next week, offer seams to be 2800 down then £189 a month for an accenta at greenhous, does this seem ok and do they have wiggle room?

Given that the Leaf is a Focus sized hatch... I would be expecting hire of something equivalent from Nissan. So something Juke sized as a minimum, but would have hoped there'd be a Pulsar or QQ or something. A melted shoe box is no good.

What's the mileage limit? Seems expensive compared to the offers at the end of March - mine was an Acenta for £150 down, 24 months @ £164/month, limited to 7k/yr, 10p/mile over that (total £4,086). That was an average deal, some lucky people got Teknas for that though!

I ordered a Tekna 6.6kW from Greenhous a couple of weeks ago for £236/mo with £1000 down, mileage limit of 12K.

Would have been £196 without the 6.6kW upgrade.

So you may have some wiggle room...

The best deals for Tekna at 3.3kw were £3600 over 2 years at 12000 total miles - because of my change of work I am only using mine at weekends - pity I didnt have a crystal ball.

Been offered a deal through work on a Leaf Acenta

£163/month

£900 deposit

25 months

6k/yr?

At the end pay final payment or hand car back, trade in on new model

This seems like a good deal?

The Acenta doesn't have the 6.6kw charger - is this a deal breaker? Do all leafs handle slow/fast charging as standard?

I've got a 3 day test drive for next week, and long term can get a charger installed on the side of my house right by where I park (off road)

Cheers all

Seems a little more than the deals around at the end of March, but not bad.

ALL Leafs are DC rapid charge capable (the motorway services), and all can have the 6.6kW AC charger as an option (albeit £1,150). The question is whether you envisage needing to be able to 'slow' AC charge twice as fast, ie. do several long journeys with a small but significant delay. The 3.3 is absolutely fine as a commuter car.
