I would just point your dealer at this thread and ask them to match/beat the best deals listed.
I did that at another Nissan dealer, they suggested that the deals quoted were probably employee discounts... When I ordered mine the salesman said the current offers were better than the employee offers usually are.Something else he said (and I don't know how true it is) was the whole dealer bonus hangs on meeting the targets for the Leaf- they may sell double their target for all other models but if they don't meet the one for the Leaf they don't get anything.

I was told the same thing that the dealer has to reach their Leaf target else they risk their whole quarterly bonus. I think it is the most likely reason for the good deals at the end of the quarter. Plus Nissan are churning out a lot of Leaf at the moment from Sunderland so the cars need to find homes.Something else he said (and I don't know how true it is) was the whole dealer bonus hangs on meeting the targets for the Leaf- they may sell double their target for all other models but if they don't meet the one for the Leaf they don't get anything.
In terms of the prices, how the dealer tweaks things in their system to be competitive is a matter for them. In my PCP deal, the only paperwork I have signed is the completely regular stuff - I certainly haven't signed anything to suggest I might have become an employee of Nissan
Well I'm happy and thanks to those posters above. I've just got a red tekna 3.3 with solar spoiler for £1800 down, £149 registration plus £79 a month
Customer changed order and it arrives at the dealer in a few days. So around £160 per month over 2 years. Cheaper than my current car to run.

I am looking to order a leaf to replace my wife's car. She does approximately 8-10k a year on her commute from Stevenage to Hemel. We have been offered a solid white car on a 2 year PCP for £2k down and £110 a month. This includes the £250 cost of white paint but the extra mileage we need seems to make a fair difference to monthly payments and deposit over the standard 7.5k mile deals quoted here. I am wondering if we are better off paying the 10p a mile excess charge and taking a PCP with 7.5k miles?
My wife runs a limited company. Am I right in saying if we "PCP'd" the Leaf through her business we could claim the deposit and monthly payments as capital allowances against corporation tax? Secondly I think for the next 2 years the BIK for the leaf will be 5 and 7% of list respectively. The car has a list price of approximately £27k so the first years charge will be in the region of £1350 is that roughly correct? Lastly, if we go down the Ltd company route I am assuming running costs such as they are including insurance, tyres and even electric charging would be allowable expenses?

Another weekend leaf Teckna purchaser here.
Similar deal, but had to pay extra for metallic paint (unfortunately 'invisible' wasn't an option). £2.5k down, 91pm over 2 years. It makes perfect sense with a typical 8 mile round trip commute most days and solar panels on our house to cut down further on running costs. It will be an extra car, so range not an issue.

Congrats but why didn't you push them on a deal ? you have paid £1200 more over the 2 years or have you gone for 12000 miles a year we are all on mainly 6000Similar deal, but had to pay extra for metallic paint (unfortunately 'invisible' wasn't an option). £2.5k down, 91pm over 2 years. The dealer (your local one which is just down the hill from us) took almost an hour before they could get close to the 1800 + 99pm deal which I'd seen posted on the 'best lease deals' thread. I wasn't aware of people cutting down the cost further, hence didn't ask. It's also a 6000 mile deal, but the metallic paint added about £600 over the 2 years (it was the only one they could order).
Given it will take 6k miles off petrol / diesel vehicles in the 'fleet' and we should be able to have at least 50% of the charging through our PV panels, I'm happy that it provides very low cost motoring for the next 2 years.
I'll push harder 25 months from now!

Do you need a home charging point installed? Or can you plug them into a standard house three pin socket? Also what do people do when rain is forecast? If charging overnight?
Zoe - yes or look up your nearest public one and find a café, Leaf takes a 3 pin, if it rains use a glove and rubber shoes to disconnect, cover any extension lead with a bin bag (joke)Gassing Station | EV and Alternative Fuels | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
