What does the Elia chip do?

4k is a good price, but they never seem to get much cheaper than that, so doubt you'll loose much money on depreciation.

It looks great in liquid yellow

Was your insurance expensive?

These are eccentric cool I reckon.

I assume the chip increases power at the expense of range?

Are they oem approved or backstreet tuner jobbing?

If you do buy a leaf ,can you have a speaker on it to warn pedestrians that your coming, I nearly got ran over by one yesterday because I didn't hear it.
I'd get your dog rechecked by the RNIB. Tout suite.

Eccentric cool...perfect!

Insurance with LV is 200 a year which is what I seem to pay for anything these days.

The chip is aftermarket and doesn't need to stay plugged in.

Driving it into Guildford this morning with my 6 year old in tow...you wouldn't get this much attention if you drove a pink countach naked.

Apologies for the fit inducing video quality...too much reflection and vibration for the phone to handle but little video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxw4Nc6vwZc

Gives a good indication of the torque and sound. There's also a ballsy overtake at 3.30 ish. I'll do a few more vids with a better camera/mount soon for comedy value.

I'm rapidly becoming a menace in this. Napoleon complex I reckon smile The range has gone out the window obviously..27 miles on a full charge.

I'll try and get a better video up today. You do feel 'slightly' self conscious in it I'm noticing as it gets so much attention.

Ok, slightly better video for you...not the most interesting though smile

When the 507 arrives, I'll do a drag race or something.

You have a very noisy driveway.

These are the sort of killer issues that EVs are going to highlight.

good video's, so whats the daily routine, drive to and fro then overnight charge ? or does it charge more quickly than that? also have you found anywhere on your travels where it can be charged securely whilst you off doing other things ??

I bought it largely on the colour and yes anything other than soft butter as a road surface is loud smile

Routine is, check sunny, think of excuse to drive upto 15 miles out, drive car, stick on charge for 3 hours...repeat. It charges quickly enough and can be unplugged at any point. Not got as adventurous as public charging yet. Also noticed lots of grubby hand prints on door tops when I return to it after it being parked up, presume people are just looking in?

I think I found you on Twizy Owners as well but hadn't seen this thread.

Love the fact that you've basically bought one for the fun of it, I want one for the same reason. My turn next year I think!

Just watched your country roads video, a mix of fun and fear I think but most of it is due to the shaking camera! I've hired one for the day twice now in the new forest and I'm going to have a proper look next year, keeping an eye on the 'values' at the moment which seem to just keep falling.

I'll probably want one with a years warranty left, then I can figure out if you can extend it etc.
