It's arrived! I've got to say that I do not understand why everyone hasn't got one of these, they are just brilliant, I can't wait to keep popping out in it knowing that it's hardly costing me anything and isn't wearing out the main car with lots of short stop start journeys.
Plus it's such a cool thing to look at, everyone seems to love it and I've not held anyone up on the road yet either!

I'm only getting predictive range of 37 miles though which surprised me, although does colder weather make it less? I'd be confident of 40+ On the right roads and driving carefully though.

I need to find a Surrey Twizy club now!

Well there are 2 or 3 others dotted around Surrey. I'm always up for an eco meet in the bug smile Range sounds right to me in this weather. You can drive mine, see if the chip makes any difference.

That would be awesome - whereabouts are you? Maybe pm me. I know of one other in my neck of the woods who I am trying to bump into

You can now get a tuning box £380 that will increase nm from 57 to 100 and makes it twice as quick to accelerate to 30mph.plus you can alter regen braking to suit your preference .mine is now very aggressive and I hardly need to touch brakes now.

What's the typical insurance premium for a twizy if its possible to ask such a thing
and how much does it go up when you make it go faster?
Is everyone on the £45 per month battery rental?

Bloody hell, almost 100% torque increase? I'd worry it'll knacker the drive train though...

Insurance for me is £250 if I recall, not cheap really for what it is. My Merc is only £500.

I was quoted £240 living in Surrey but garaged.

The Norwegian clever fellow who has designed this box of tricks has done so over 2 years and has run the Twizy daily at max power for the entire duration. I think he will be building these to order for a large percentage of Twizy owners. Looks a real pro piece of kit too. See: http://www.twizyowners.com/t/new-intelligent-power...

Surrey too and paying £300 garaged, but didn't have a no claims bonus I could use.

Too right but honeymoon period and all that. Mad as a hatter really (the car and me) but since I've owned all manor of microcars many years ago, this one just could not be passed up.

I agree mate, just love mine but bloody cold this time of year! I'm in Surrey, let's have a Twizy meet. Christ, how nuts is this?

Congratulations on the Twizy!
Great to have yet another one in Surrey too - a meet would be hilarious, but we'd have to go somewhere with a lot of plugs!

Whereabouts are you? Or maybe PM me

I'm in Virginia Water so could get to Effingham I guess but probably need a recharge to get back! Me thinks this needs some extra special route planning before departure!

Well anyone is welcome to charge here or maybe we just plot a route no more than 15 miles from base?
