I'm in Virginia Water so could get to Effingham I guess but probably need a recharge to get back! Me thinks this needs some extra special route planning before departure!
Well anyone is welcome to charge here or maybe we just plot a route no more than 15 miles from base?
And I'm Farnham - mid point of that triangle is SE of Woking somewhere - risky for me without a recharge in cold weather, but the Victoria Road car park in Woking is saying that it has 2 x 3 pin plug bays.

Well I regularly drive the Twiglet into Woking to park near the station so I'm game...

I thought about a twizy and ended up buying a piaggio mp3 500 sport......

Can use the bus lanes in London, no congestion charge.

Any chance you could check out the car park there for recharging options? Unless there is a friendly pub around Brookwood somewhere that we could use

After 3 months laid up, I took the Twiglet out last night to do some shopping with my youngest....forgot just how silly it is. Madder than a sack of squirrels smile

I'm paying £30/ month battery rental and £170 ins with admiral.drove to work yesterday -3 degrees and I wasn't cold with my hat and gloves on .just charged it up for free today with my 4 kW solar panels.

I've got an Audi A5 3.0tdi with heated seats and still chose the twizy to drive 9 miles to work I love it that much.

Good effort - I agree it's not that cold in it.

I'm curious how you got 30 quid a month for the battery, Renault refused anything under 45 for my even though I only wanted 1000 miles a year

I do keep seeing these in Town and finding myself envious. They do look a hoot for the commute. Sadly, I don't think I can justify actually having one because I am actually really enjoying not driving in Town.

But one thought that I did have: what happens when you move house out to the sticks? Do you take two days to move the car, low load it or FEDEX it? wink

£30 for 1500 miles/ year for a 3 year contract.I think you can phone Renault finance and ask to pay less.in my case if it's a change of owner you can specify how much you pay as the buyer.the guy I bought it off was paying £45/month..get wife to say she's the new owner and fill in relevant forms might work.also there is a way around the 1500 miles if needed and still pay £30.

Afternoon guys,

So the time has come after just 9 ish months to sell the Twizy. Selling it for no other reason than I bought it to commute and now I don't need to. It's a waste to keep it for a blast every now and again (and it's not really that sort of car).

Loved owning it, totally unique experience. If you know of anyone interested...let me know

Am I totally weird that this is the only reason I want one? I wouldn't have it long I don't think but just feel I need to do it one summer. Also, if my CL500 goes wrong in a big way it will be a cheap car to have for a while! If the wife got a job that was 10 miles or so away then she could use it but currently her commute is 20 miles each way on a dual carriageway - not happening!

Not sad times really, just not much point me having almost 4 grand sat on the floor doing very little smile

I'm used to having track cars as a weekend blast option and the C63 keeps me pretty busy.
