Good tip for those just receiving their cars - For overtaking hold the down paddle for 2 seconds, the car automatically choses the best gear and you are off like a rocket, rather than you having to go down yourself from 6 to 3 for example hunting for the best gear

Churchill insurance is who I went with 825 a year for 17000 miles, tell them it's a company car but do the insurance in your name they will list your company name down on the insurance. Hi, this is my first company car so just checked with both the lease broker and the parent lease company regarding insurance.

Interestingly both said the following:

Registered Owner = LEASE COMPANY
Registered Keeper = LEASE COMPANY


I did a quote online and it came out as the same price anyway.... £350

It may be worth checking as you know these insurance companies find any excuse to not payout

I just did the compare the market thingy - was paying £280 on my Audi A4 - now paying £350

What did you put in for car value? I assume you're getting GAP insurance from elsewhere aswell?

Weirdly I asked for a quote and they wouldn't give it without knowing the term of the lease, which is incredibly confusing.

Ordered 28th Feb delivery quoted Set/Oct 2016.
Update today ..In production 20th May ..due to dealer 4th of July...😵😵😵😵😵....
Anyone else..have they picked up production some how
My car is MSport spec with wheel upgrade only!

Must be lucky! I ordered mid Jan and was meant to be built week 21 but checked today and they said its now week 22 (this week) and to check back tomorrow

Mine is sat at Southampton port since yesterday, apparently still won't get it until 13/14th! Takes longer to get from Soton to my house than from a pile of parts in a warehouse to Southampton. Terrible.

just had mine delivered!. Not had a chance to drive it much but the little amount I did, it drives really well.
Mines the estoril blue, black leather with oyster highlights, comfort pack and hk speaker upgrade. Love it so far!

With my car I'm the sole director of the company and it was purchased for cash, so the company is the owner of the car.
With my insurance it's down for 100% class one business use but also for personal use. With my last d120 m sport it was 600 for the same cover, so I didn't think 825 was that bad for a car worth and power half as much again. I would be interested how you have got insurance for 350 unless the insurance companies don't like me lol

Does anyone know how i can track the vehicle further (aside BMW Genius)

Do you know when yours was built out of curiousity? Mines been 5500 assembly complete for a few days now and they just keep saying estimated delivery 20th June

Hey Gaz,
Ah I see - sorry assumed that people were talking about leased car insurance. This is my first leased company car (like you I'm the sole director and always owned a car before) so wasn't sure what to expect re insurance.
Luckily I was able to transfer my 12 years no claims discount so got a good price

I'm 4 days in and so in love with my car.........it's soooo much fun to drive and it very quickly learns you're driving style.
Flick the gear lever into sport mode and boot it - flick it back, drop off the gas and it drops straight into EV mode for 30mph areas etc.
