Hi John - if you have the owners handbook it is covered on page 205. If not inside the bonnet on the side where the flap is there is a blue knob. Thw book says and I quote :-

"Pull blue knob. If necessary, use the screwdriver from the on-board toolkit for assistance in releasing the knob."

Hope that helps, I haven't had to do it yet so cannot comment on how easy it is.

Totally agree...the sat nav is poor...I purchased the real time traffic and it is useless. On numeration occasions on my commute home there was a 30 min difference in expected journey time between google maps and BMW....with googlemaps being much more accurate. Sadly I now don't even use the sat nav as google maps on my iphone is a hundred times better and more accurate.

Hold the lock button (bmw badge on the keyfob) in for about two seconds rather than a quick press. The mirrors will automatically fold in when it locks. Or you can press the fold mirror button on the door control pad before you leave the car, but you'll need to remember to press it again before setting off.

Bigbobby is right - also if you fold them in from the door control and forget to unfold them when you get back in the mirrors will automatically fold out at about 15-20 mph. You can also fold them from the door control panel whilst moving (say 20mph or less) for example on a tight country road, and allow them to automatically fold out again once you are back up above 20mph.

And holding down the lock button not only folds the mirrors but also ensures all windows are fully closed, like on previous models.

Hey guys! This is my first post on here, i felt this was the most active 330e thread out there.

I ordered my 330e wednesday and was quoted a delivery date around the end of sept, beginning of october. I traded in my 116d lci -16 which i am currently driving. I test drove it several times and i really enjoyed the silent driving, having only 6 miles to work this car is perfect for me. I ordered a sapphire black m-sport with the ferric grey wheels and black m-performance grille, i haven't seen this combo before so i hope it looks nice! I will post some pics of it when i take delivery! I didn't really splurge on extras since most is in the free e-drive pack, but i got the advanced parking pack, hi-fi sound system and alarm system.

They quoted 1-2months? I thought there was like a 9 month lead time.. I waited 6 as did most people.

No, i'm based in Sweden. They found me a fabrication slot for next week, which is awesome.

What suprises me the most is that here we get stop&go cruise, nav professional, connected drive, remote services, driving assistant and traffic information as standard equipment.

Haha i hope not! The dealer told me i got lucky, that there usually isn't a spot avalible so soon.

Some of you guys are able to track the production of your cars, where do i do this and what do i need from my dealer?

My delivery date was supposed to be March 2017, it's now October this year. I ordered it in July! Seems they have ramped up the builds or something, as that's about what I'd expect for a 320d.

The iPhone app and the whole connected drive thing is a bit rubbish in my experience. You can't even get a notification when the car hits 100% charge?

Also only shows you detailed information on your last trip, no historical data. Not impressed at all with it

Anyone else used it much?

Yes I think it's pretty good, you can get an overall economy figure and total electric miles driven from it which I find useful and the remote functions work good for me.

It's much better than the Merc app for the c350e, they don't even have a precondition option!

Few colleagues have the Merc and the app appears to be dreadful.

Connected drive isn't up to much, it really dosent add any functionality that you don't already have on an IPhone or Android and it's easier to view and control on the phone in my opinion.

I've done just over 4K miles in mine now. For my weekly commute (340 miles, mix of motorway & all electric) I'm getting 50 - 60mpg. This weekend I did 200 miles all ICE and got 45mpg.

BMW UK seems to have finally added some more details for the 330e and X5 40e aswell as a the names under configuration have changed to BMW 330e iPerformance Saloon previously they could only be configured under the normal 3 Series Saloon.

330e sport in melbourne red with the m-sport suspension being delivered next Friday - finally. Ordered end of February this year.
