Someones just snapped the charge flap off in the car park, great. 2nd 330e casualty in barely 6 months of ownership, glad she didn't break the plug aswell I suppose it would probably be a write off!

Going to have to fashion something vaguely weatherproof over the socket before driving home! Argh I hate other people.
How on earth did they do that?!? collected it when parking?

Yeah reversing out of the space next to me, started turning and looks to have caught the flap with the inside of their front passenger wheelarch. I guess I should be thankful it wasn't an inch the other way which would have yanked the plug off and probably destroyed the car.

Will it drive with the flap snapped off? Mine won't allow me to move with the flap open.

Ordered mine through Alphabet in August and it has gone in to production this week for a late December delivery

I can't wait, I've gone for:

M Sport
Estoril blue
Black/dark oyster interior
Orbit grey wheels
Split seats
Active cruise control

In the mean time my company has changed the fuel policy (no more fuel carda) so I will have to pay and claim at 13.5p per business mile, I do mainly motorway miles (circa 150 a day) with a 6 mile journey either side of motorway so I'm hoping to at least break even on the business miles

This will be my first BMW so looking forward to driving it!

Had to laugh this morning. Been to the BMW dealer as my headlights seem to have dropped and are not lighting enough road ahead on normal beam, anyway the service girl went out to move the car round to the service bays, after a few minutes of watching from inside she still hadn't moved it, so I went out, 'are you having problems with it starting, I can't get the engine to go'!! Lol - anyway once I explained it was on, and telling her to trust me and just drive she loved, wasn't too keen on giving my keys back though! smilesmile

I was a bit worried about that, luckily I can press the flap back into place and then when the car locks it holds it in just fine. FWIW I could drive with it snapped off, it just bonged at me a LOT tongue out.

Well I was told mine was in Build week 47 (21st-27th November) then got an email from the dealership that it's turning up to them on the 11th!

Anyone know how long the PDI/inspection generally takes for them to then turn it around and deliver to you?

I had to even look back at my paperwork as I'd forgotten what colour I'd ordered... smile

Now waiting on the lease company to give letter to fleet so I can get the £500 subsidy to get a chargepoint installed at home.

Mine took a week from arrival at the dealer. I had to force the issue though, good bit of chasing never did it any harm ;-)

How do you do the build tracking through BMW? I've seen people talking about it. All I have is the Alphabet order number. I doubt that is what I need!

Received an email today saying delivery would be in December!
Ordered the car back in June and I was originally told delivery March 2017.

Can wait now!

Hmm, maybe I'll start nosing into spaces then instead of reversing in. Should make the flap less vulnerable?

Too can't in the U.K. Only for American customers from the research I've done.

Mine has just moved back to march 2017 from October order date which isn't too bad.

I've started reversing in more due to the silence of the car, better visibility as people just walk in front of you.

Yeah; if not charging I'll definitely reverse in, but when charging I'll be very tempted to nose in.

Does anyone know if, on the 330e, the 'widescreen' is standard or is there an option you have to order to get it?

First post, really enjoying my 330e so far after getting it in July. Pleasantly surprised by the electric range and routinely get 90%+ e-drive on my 20 mile commute (albeit driving very economically!). Absolutely staggering that this is a £200+ saving over a 320d on our company scheme based on the BIK!

Two issues I've noticed recently:

- RTTI wasn't working yesterday and still wasn't running this morning. All I could get was TMC and no real-time info on the sat nav. Anyone else having this problem? I can still precondition via the app so the car is certainly still connected in some way!

- Yesterday morning, went to make a quick trip to the supermarket and, despite being fully charged, the ICE came on while driving in town. I tried pressing to go into max e-drive but it said "power demand too high, max e-drive unavailable". Not seen this before. The car had been sat for a couple of days and we had 2-5C temperatures, so maybe when really cold there are problems with e-drive? Preconditioned it and went out later on and it was fine.

Only time I've seen that message was when I pressed the throttle too far while in max e-drive mode. I've noticed that the car will turn on ice if it's cold and I'm using heaters etc, I've not been preconditioning though so maybe I'll try that tomorrow.

Done some more digging.

Unfortunately if you only have the Business Nav then you can not send routes to it using BMW Routes or USB. Bloody stupid, and a key point for this car that is not clear... Quite odd too when you can use the phone app to send a single destination.

I have found out how to add a 2nd way point in to the Nav by setting a home address and work address in the Nav system.

You then have to set the destination as work, and then add in a further destination of home.

However this still doesn't allow me to set the route I drive to work.

Also regardless of mode ie using eco the car still just uses all the battery in one go. I thought it would switch from electric to petrol out of town, but it is staying in electric when avg speeds are about 50mph for 5-10miles, so I still arrived at work with all the battery gone.

Also - is anyone elses car 'creaking'? On anything but the smoothest of roads I can hear very loud creaking type noises from the back seat area, almost like the leather is rubbing against itself causing friction and noise. As the rest of the car is so quiet, this is very very annoying ! I end up having to turn the radio up to cover it up.
Hi yeah mine was creaking was driving me crazy, it's the rear door seals rubbing together, the mechanic used a lipstick style oil and applied it round the door which solved it
