Does this method work to allow multiple destinations?
Waiting delivery of my 330e so keen to know a solution to this as only order business navigation

I found some under my mobile phone settings, I think there was a messages option under there. Pjohnsp0407 said:

I have decided to go for a dedicated EV charge point (probably a Rolec Unit)
Ideally I would mount the box just inside the garage, and feed the cable through the door so I can always leave the garage door closed (car stays outside all the time)
Do you have to press any buttons on the wall unit, for it to start charging, or can I just plug the car in when I get home and just leave it? I want to avoid having to open the garage door.
If you do have to do something with the unit, then I would have to mount it on the outside of the garage, but then obviously the charge cable would not be secured all day long and could be stolen.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks
On a separate note, my car has suddenly started improving mpg. I have not taken different routing or changed driving habits etc, but it is now getting approx. 50mpg and my return from work which is way better than it was doing ! It does appear to be using the engine more than it previously did.
Gear change question - Does anyone else have delay when changing gears using the paddles? I have to think in advance! Click paddle and then maybe a second later the gear changes, that's going up or down the box in sport or sport +. I assumed this was normal, but a colleague has the same 8 speed box in an older 3 series and they say it is instant.

Have you looked into the ability to plan a route via Google Maps and push it to the car? See here : http://www.bmw.com/com/en/owners/connected_drive_s... under the My Info / Send to Car section:
Just tried it now. It only allows you to send a single destination unfortunately.
Agreed, which is bad. Having registered with BMW Connected today.Just tried it now. It only allows you to send a single destination unfortunately.
It even uses Google Maps in the BMW portal, but it basically lacks full functionality of maps.google.com where you can add waypoints, avoid tolls/motorways etc. Shoddy.

I have a Rolec unit and a 10m cable and have taken a notch out of the bottom of the garage door frame for the cable to fit below to allow me to close the garage door - the cable is much thicker than the BMW cable but does charge the car in a shade over 2 hours as opposed to 3.5hrs or so. I put the cable away in the garage when I go to work, but if I am only popping out for a short while I tend to leave it outside. I can confirm though that there is no need to push any buttons on the unit, it just clicks into life when plugged into the car. Hope that helps the decision!Ideally I would mount the box just inside the garage, and feed the cable through the door so I can always leave the garage door closed (car stays outside all the time)

Did my first long trip yesterday - 170 miles. 46 mpg on the way down with a full battery and 40 mpg on the way back with no battery. This was at usual motorway speeds using cruise and some A roads in sport mode driving in an appropriately rapid fashion. Its quick! It doesnt feel super quick but the speedo says it is. It can be a little variable at standing starts, the idea that the electric motor gives instant torque is great, but if the battery is flat then it just gets rolling until the ICE starts rather than taking off like a scalded cat.
So nearly as economical as the passat diesel it replaced that usually averaged 50mpg and way quicker.
I need to clean it today and upgrade the sat nav maps, but the first 450 miles have gone really well.

No - if the battery is all used up then it refuses to precondition, tried this from the office before going home.
There's a icon on the dash called eboost - this comes on when the leccy motor is assisting the ICE. if the battery is flat this assist is limited. Similarly if the battery is flat then full edrive is just keeping up your speed on a flat road, any attempt at acceleration will result in the ICE bursting into life.

Perhaps Beardman or maybe others that are not. Charging the car can answer this. Does it keep enough battery to precondition the interior on cold days? Does it affect performance?

What do you think will happen for those that have already ordered or have received their cars? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/11/19/reveale...

Either way, I'm not looking forward to it.
I genuinely can't see the government giving a toss about people already in contract, the admin burden would be ridiculous. They'll set a date and from then on you'll pay a top-up equivalent to the difference between 40% of the cash you forewent and the the tax you're paying on the car, unless your car scheme changes and your company 'forces' you to take a car and removes the cash option in which case nothing will change.
I cancelled an order for an XC90 T8 in September when the story first surfaced...

This is only affecting salary-sacrifice schemes. Not traditionally run company cars which are taxed as a BIK through your PAYE salary.
Salary sacrifice has always been one of those slightly odd legal fiddles. It started off for relatively small amounts - bicycles, gym memberships - but then suddenly large organisations (NHS especially) grabbed it for supplying cars! I know it must be really annoying if you are are on this scheme, but it's no great surprise it's a loop hole which is being closed.

I got my 330e on salary sacrifice through the NHS. It is a shame that it will be stopping as it is about the only 'benefit' there is for working in the NHS.
Anyhow - back to 330e efficiency. After being told by BMW Genius to 'play' with the various eDrive settings whilst driving the car (which is a little dangerous!) it only made mpg worse. They then suggested I keep the car in SAVE mode. This then reduce MPG down to about 15-20mpg!
Finally they have taken my hint and a referring the matter to some one who apparently may know what they are talking about.
1. I thought the only recharged the battery to a max of 50%? In SAVE mode mine keeps recharging it to 98%, in fact starting with a full battery it tries to keep it at 100%!
2. In any other mode even with 20 miles to go it lets the battery drop to 3% before not letting it go any further. Surely it would be more efficient to just let the battery not go below 10%, and use the engine when it gets to 10%?
Do other peoples cars behave in the same way?
Grumble grumble I know, but neither the local dealership or BMW appear to know anything, if this is how the car is supposed to be I will have to live with it...

Just use the sat nav and leave it alone, charge as often as you can and use Eco Pro. The software knows much better than any driver when to engine/e-drive/save and also sail. Would recommend turning off Eco Pro Climate Control though as it's just not suitable this time of year, windscreen will not stay clear.
Personally my average over 7000 miles is sitting at 82mpg. This is really mixed including probably 2500 miles of motorway action and the rest my 26 mile each way A/B road commute which I average 110-130mpg on.
