However, schemes covering pensions, child care, ultra-low emission cars and cycling to work will be exempt from the changes.
So I now wonder if non-ultra-low emission cars will be effected.

Edit:
from moneysavingexpert..Which salary sacrifice schemes are being axed?

The following types of scheme won't offer tax perks from April 2017:

Company cars
Work-related training
Car parking near your workplace
Gym memberships
Health screening checks
Mobile phones, computers and other tech
Purchasing additional annual leave
Will-writing services
Gadget insurance
Which salary sacrifice schemes will remain?

The following schemes are exempted from the changes announced today and so will continue to offer tax perks from April 2017:

Childcare vouchers
Additional employer pensions contributions
Cycle-to-work schemes
Ultra-low emission cars

Edit2: https://www.cchdaily.co.uk/2016-salary-sacrifice-c... seems BIK for cars with > 75g/km won't take effect anyway until 2021.

I've had my 330E since May. Full charge miles have been steadily dropping. Now at 9 miles from a full charge. I'm concerned! What's going on?

Been given a date of 3rd week Feb for mine. Hopefully it will be the delivery date and not the build date.

What did your full-charge miles start at?
Are you preconditioning?

Started at around 18. I am pre conditioning but 9 has been fully charged miles before preconditioning lately.
Weirdly, today it is 12

Hi all, great thread, really helpful, although I discovered it after I'd ordered!!

Ordered end of August in a bit of a hurry due to lead times and because the deal looked too good to be true! Gone for the spec below which will cost me, as a company car user, the same as my 320ED touring '63 plate which I'm swapping it for. The step up from 163 to 250hp will be quite something.

It was originally due end Feb, now early Feb.

M Sport
Paint - Metallic - Mineral Grey
Black Dakota Leather with Dark Oyster Highlight
Model Designation Deletion
Sun Protection Glass
Trim Designation Deletion
Loudspeaker System - Harman Kardon
Seat Heating for Driver and Front Passenger
Seat Adjustment - Front Electric with Driver Memory
18in Alloy Wheels - V Spoke - 398 - Orbit Grey
M Sport Suspension Deletion
Interior Trim - Brushed Aluminium with Pearl Chrome Finisher

Thoughts/regrets right now:
- are heated seats going to cane the battery? I'm thinking yes - I wasn't aware of the preconditioning feature before ordering - doh!
- no split folding rear seats. I cart a fair bit of random gear about in the touring, including bags of rugby balls and tackle bags. This will be an adjustment, how small/big is the boot in practice?
- only got basic sat nav, will it be pants? And will it be as effective as bus or pro in managing the drivetrain selections? Couldn't justify media upgrades on cost and speakers more important to me.

Still very happy because:
- amazing car and spec for the same price as the 320ED
- I'm hoping I should make a bit of a saving on fuel from the ED. 45 mile round commute, charge at home and occasionally at work. I'm on 53mpg with the ED right now so hoping to comfortably beat that.

Thanks for reading, hints, tips, comments welcome!

It might not be too late to add the split seats and remove the heated seats. I updated my order via the dealer with no issue if the car hasn't gone on to build yet.

It's a lease car via alphabet but the dealer had emailed me with the form for the government grant so I asked them direct about changing and it wasn't a issue

Actually I've read that it's better to use seat heating rather than cabin heating. You can cope with a lower cabin temperature and if you're only heating your seat rather than the entire cabin that requires less energy overall.

You want the pro Nav if you want it to use the battery energy and ICE in the most efficient way.

Thanks for that.

That is interesting on the heated seats vs cabin heating impact on battery. Might leave them on then and report back as a test case for others.

Gonna phone through and try and get the folding back seats added. I think they're essential and OKish at £255. Will let you know how I get on.

The interior comfort pack includes heated seats and split fold rear seats and utterly essential heated steering wheel, worked out cheaper than separately.

A short while ago there were some posts about squeaking windows - well mine seems to have been fixed with some extra virgin olive oil rubbed on the door seals - result! However, I have equally annoying rattle from the glove box area, seems to only been when the glove box door is closed, anyone come across a similar problem, and even better, any simple fixes??

Just received this from Tusker about the government review. Looks like my cars still on order, yippie!!!! I ordered mine beginning of Oct, got a date of mid May still, does anyone think this is a bit long? Might give the dealer a ring and ask them instead of Tusker.

Probably doesn't have a proper build slot yet. BMW originally quoted mine as 5 months as it didn't have a proper slot, then came down to 14 weeks once it did. Suspect that is happeneing a lot with these cars.

Mine departed plant on 17th November and was then at port of exit on the 22nd. Still not heard it's made it onto a boat yet. There's a wallenius boat leaving Bremerhaven today supposedly so I'm hoping it will be on that but there has been at least one other that's departed Bremerhaven since the 22nd so who knows?!

The wallenius track and trace doesn't seem to show my VIN in the logs, but then the wife's X3 that arrived in October never did show up in their logs so maybe they don't all get logged individually for a mass transport...

So in answer to your question I could have just said I don't know!!
