Sounds very hit and miss with lead times. Mine was ordered early February and I am picking it up today! http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/imgs/10.gif
What specification did you order? I wonder if I was a common setup that happened to have been built anyway so got to you quicker.

I'm informally told 16 weeks-20 weeks by BMW so placing order in May for September delivery of all goes well.

The only annoying thing is that I suspect the new 3 Series is out this time next year. However, the co car tax isn't staying low for long so I'm taking the plunge now.

Hiya - it is a company order through lease plan. I may find myself in trouble for even saying this on here but lease company just offered me a C350e Sport for £80 less a month than the 330e M Sport I have just submitted. I need to get back to them on Monday. Only cheaper as it is a reallocation 6 months old. Thoughts?
When I ordered on Leaseplan the Merc was quite a bit dearer than the BMW so that sounds a reasonable deal

Edit - if you haven't already worth doing a quote for that car, unless you're past that point on Leaseplan system

Hiya - I think the C350e was more expensive when I quoted for both as new orders. It works out cheaper as I don't have a I pay the extra PUC, although as a result the tax goes up a bit. I am thinking of sticking with the BMW as the fuel consumption being quoted by people seems a bit better as well as you seem to get around 20 miles on the electric compared 10 on the mercedes.

Ordered mine (big spec and individual interior / exterior) from Lease Plan in November at it gets delivered on Mon 27th.

The 350e lease rate and BIK was considerably higher plus the reviews were terrible in comparison to the 330e

Picked up my new car last week (ordered mid Dec) and really pleased in the way in looks. M Sport plus in Estoril Blue with Oyster interior .

I was a bit apprehensive on my choice of the MSport plus spec with the big wheels , especially as previous posts had mentioned how firm the suspension felt. I can confirm, from my perspective, the ride is absolutely great. My previous car was an Audi A3 sportback S line and the suspension on that was definitely harder than the 330e. The new car also handles the horrific state of our local roads with ease helped by the amazingly wide rear tyres.

Everything else is as aspected , or better, although i've have had some odd issues with the idrive making and connecting calls (not from my phone) to other people's conversations????

I'm still awaiting the type 2 charger install so i'm having to use the 3 pin unit that comes with the car. Take note that you need to check the state of own wiring at home before charging at maximum. Extension leads are a big danger with overheating and all instructions tell you not to use them. If your just charging overnight then choose the lowest setting . it may take the longest but your still have a full battery waiting for you in the morning.

The 330e is a better car than the c350e.

Popped over to Leicester Sytner yesterday to have a sneaky peak of my new car before I get it in May. They said it were in the lock up across the road, went for a look around the fencing to see if it were there. I'm sure this is mine because it matches the spec and they said that many haven't ordered this type of wheel.

Nice!

Did you have an external mains socket already or has this been wired back into your fusebox?.

Also how long is the cable?. I'd like to do something similar but just concerned that the cable wouldn't reach unless I drove the car in forwards onto the drive - as the car charging port would be on the wrong side and the furthest distance from the charging point.

I am having the same box fitted by Charged EV (the ones who fitted that one) on Friday, in Silver and Black to match the car wink
They are running it from the main fuse box to the point where I want it but they recommended that I chose a universal fitting rather than a fixed, as although the fixed will be more convenient, the universal will let me use my own cable and should I change car or cables change in the near future, I can still use the box rather than paying for a whole new box.
The cables come in 3, 5 and 10 Meter length but I don't know what the standard cable is ( My box is going 2ft from where I will park and the charge point on the car).

Yeah the price for the nicer wheels was a no brainer (when you consider the 405m wheels I wanted are 2-3 grand..) I was worried they would look small but I think they look decent so I am happy with them.

Yeah it's wired into main fuse board in a 32amp breaker. Cable is 5metres. Just need my car now.
I already have an external socket as well but couldn't be done with hassle of unlocking/locking gate to charge up.

Exactly. I think the 18s look very discrete but yet very nice.

How much does it roughly cost to have one of the charging ports installed? I guess it may differ slightly depending on the amount of work involved.

Oh mate, I have a picture in my head of you forlornly flicking the switches on the charger, weeping quietly waiting for your car.

Tried plugging into my volvo but nothing happened. :-)
It cost £150,I had to provide some paper work so they can claim from government on my behalf for the grant. I should have gone for keyswitch but another £50, probably come home to someone charging for free, lol.
