Can anyone confirm the real-world MPG you're getting?

Preferably just on the petrol (no charge) so I can work out a 'worst case scenario'.

Probably a bad time. I imagine there's some spirited driving taking place!
Hey Nick - had mine for 4 weeks now, it takes a little while to work out what the best driving style/mode is for you (it did me anyway!). I drive mostly in eco-pro mode as the car is just so quick it's perfect for everyday driving with the amount of traffic about. I'm getting just about 50mpg by driving 'normally' which I think is amazing. This is what the car records and relates to the petrol engine only so there's your worst case scenario...I charge it every night as I'm lucky enough to have a large garage so makes it easy. I get about 20ish miles on battery, I leave it mostly on auto-drive so let the car work everything out. Hope this helps...cheers

Hi Nick,

Ha exactly that!!

I've had mine a week but have settled into a regular habit of EV mode in 30 & 40 mph zones and sport mode everywhere else.

I've only charged it about 4 times - but for a full tank of fuel (£48 - super unleaded) i did a combined range of 320 miles - so 15p a mile

(My old slower 200bhp Audi did approx 19p mile) so a saving of £400 a year on 10k miles)

I am driving like a loon though!! So will probably settle down to more savings soon

50 MPG on just the petrol lump?! That's incredible considering I get around 55 in the 320D!

The BIK offset (~£125 per month better off) should more than make up for the difference in fuel cost. And that's before taking the electric into account!

I'm sold. Now to talk to the boss..

I've been reading the threads on the delays, I feel lucky to have mine already but sorry for you guys who are going through the pain of waiting. Just hang on in there as it really is worth the wait, there's nothing (IMO) that's close to this in terms of looks, performance, BIK if you're a co car driver, and even if you aren't!

My observations are that the MPG display goes up if you are using electric. I rarely plug mine in and over the last couple of weeks of local commuting have got around 40 MPG average on petrol only.

This seems about right to me. I had a 340 mile round trip away just now, no charging, and averaged 40mpg.

Not taking it easy mind you and definitely not in eco pro but not too wild either smile

Hi, I am new here I had 330e for a week now very pleased with it. If you guys can help me with a small issue. As in the attached photo air distribution settings are different from driver to passenger side. In the display screen driver side is showing 3 directional lights and passenger one has 2 lights. Even after pressing the button passenger side never gets to 3 lights.

Can anyone confirm if this is an issue with my car or meant to be like this...thanks

Thanks south tdf

For all who have been asking for real world mpg. My daily commute is 40 miles mostly B roads, a tiny bit on the A road with speeds mostly 50 to 60 mph. I start with 100% charge every morning use Eco mode and satnav, averaging about 65 mpg which does include occasional heavy foot for overtaking.

I placed the order on 6th of January with GBvehicle contracts not sure when it would have reached Alphabet and finally BMW. I got a call from GBveh on 18th of May that call was ready for delivery. The estimated time given was end of July but came 2 months earlier than expected.

Hi there, I ordered my new 330e on Friday.
9 months lead time, expected delivery February 2017. I believe it's worth waiting!

My specs are M Sport, Tanzanite blue, Oyster interior, Hexagon/black trim, Ferric grey wheels, comfort pack, dark back windows, auto cruise control.

Can't wait, 9 months, like having a child!!!😃

I've owned my 330e M Sport (Estoril blue) for 5 weeks, and have covered 2800 miles in this time. Real world mpg was something that was concerning me in the 5 months I waited for it to be delivered. But, I'm really impressed with it now that it's here.
My daily commute is 80 miles each way, mostly motorway. I start fully charged, and charge up for free at work. If I stick to legal speeds for this journey I can get around 65mpg. (Auto e-drive/ Eco Pro) If I need to get home quicker I might see closer to 50mpg.
Around town for shorter journeys I stick it to Max e-drive, and don't touch a drop of petrol.
A couple of weeks ago I took the family cross country on holiday, a 1200 mile round trip. I was only able to charge for 30 mins a couple of times on the Electric highway - so this was 99% petrol only, with 4 people and a car full to the brim. For the trip I averaged 46mpg - again not really travelling above 75/80, and in Eco Pro.
What great is that you've got the economy for the mundane journeys, but stick it into Sport on a good driving road and it really flies. I couldn't recommend it more as a Company car.

Hi, yes it's meant to be like this, same on all BMW's. 3rd arrow indicates blowing up to the windscreen and this can't be split between driver and passenger.

Re real world MPG, I've got 4.5K miles on mine and have taken to driving it in sport mode on the gear box to preserve the battery for overtakes.... I get about 35mpg off petrol alone

Guys, I charge the car everyday. Slowly electric range on 100% charge is creeping down. The attached screenshot used to show 23 miles now on 100% charge it shows 18 miles. Bit worrying considering I only had the car on the 3rd of June.

Can anyone clarify how much electric range is shown in the App when the car is fully charged.

It's more likely that now you've had it 2 Weeks you're getting a more accurate figure as the car learns based on your previous journeys and combined economy etc .. Bit like when a petrol car says 200mile range but actually you could get 300 miles; the 200 is based on your current accrued average mpg

Thanks for this - I spotted this today too and couldn't work it out!

Confusing because the icon on both sides shows 3 different positions.

This is my first bmw so I have a lot to learn

I'm loving the handling when you push this car and the sound of the engine -way better than I thought for a 2 litre

have you checked you don't have your a/c on or other high consumption electrical items like heated seats etc? in my current Phev, if i have the a/c on when first charged it shows the max range of 21, when you turn the a/c off it returns to 30.

for my sake i hope i am correct, get rid of the Golf GTE and pick up my 330e on Wednesday!

Aiden- this is showing on the App with car locked away in the garage with nothing running. Only thing I will say is unlike your GTE I haven't noticed any drop in range with the extras running.
