Has anyone used the BMW genuine roof bars or roof boxes? Any feedback on quality vs Thule? I have been given a few quid from the dealer towards accessories due to a bit of a mess up on my order.
Ask BMW who makes their bars, I would imagine it might be Thule. How much money have they given you? You can get Thule aero bars for about £150.
Roof boxes I have no idea on, but looking at their bike racks, they are not as good as the latest Thule ones which are about £85 each.
I haven't had a roof box in the past but the family is expanding so need one now. I'm assuming a standard Thule roof box would fit on the BMW roof rack? Can anyone confirm? Can't find an answer online.
Finally some good news. After placing my order back in mid Feb, I finally get the email through from the dealer stating it went into production yesterday. Should have it by the end of July. Seems my story is pretty typical. Placed order, order delayed, ranted at lease co and BMW, order brought forward. Lease co have been anonymous, BMW dealer really rather good. Just wish we had a UK tracking site to follow the car through the process. Does anyone have a link to the German site? Thanks

Just put the last seven digits of your VIN (including the K) into this...www.bimmer.work
You can't really track it without using BMW Genius but this will tell you if your car has been built.

I'm in the same position as a number of you and patiently waiting for my car having placed the order in mid-February via Lex.www.bimmer.work

A call to the Genius confirmed my VIN and using the bimmer.work site it shows that my car was 'built' yesterday, but another check with the Genius last night suggested it was scheduled to go into production next week, so I don't know who to believe
Can anyone confirm if the information on dimmer.work is accurate?
Hopefully I'll see my car within the next four weeks based on the timescales of others....
I've just replaced my m135i with a 330e M sport, only had it since Monday!
First impressions are very good though, lovely smooth ride, superb gearbox and a lovely place to sit. Performance although not as quick as the m-lite is satisfactory, in fact on the move it does shift to be fair.
Having gone from a manual to my first auto I'm hopeful it will suit my needs better. My commute is around 30 miles a day and a very boring one at that. I felt that I couldn't exploit anywhere near what the m135i was capable of and it was a pain in traffic with the manual box. I'm hoping this will be a nice compromise of comfort, economy and decent performance. Plus that extra space for my 2 year old who is growing up fast. It does feel much more spacious but hides the extra size well.
The only thing I've really missed so far is the noise of the straight 6 on full chat, it's quite addictive when the moment is right! I will post some pics up when get chance.
I've gone for Alpine white, red leather and the 18" v-spoke orbit grey style 398 alloys which really do give it an aggressive look, absolutely love the styling to be fair, classy and sporty at the same time.

My little beast arrived on Thursday, took it for a trip over 120miles, not bad results utilising all of the battery. The same route home with 0% battery gave me 43 MPG ..... Very smooth gear change and hardly noticeable change from electric to petrol.

Would really love to see the wheels. I have ordered Graphite Grey paint and the same wheels as you.First impressions are very good though, lovely smooth ride, superb gearbox and a lovely place to sit.
