Just been told by Lex that my delivery date has gone back again. mad
Car was ordered in February for a July delivery, then August then September and now October!
A few people on here seem to have had deliveries brought forward recently. Anyone else had theirs put back?
Ordered mine in February and given August delivery - This has now been pushed back until November!

Ordered mine first week of June and originally advised February 2017 delivery, yesterday received email saying delivery is now pushed back in March 2017... Not looking good!

Just had confirmation of my order through from BMW today. Quoting me the 30th December 2016 which is frustrating as my F30 320D M Sport is due to go back on the 19th November. Similar to other people here I found the 330e so much nicer than my 320D and the BIK saving is mega. Even with the 330e fully loaded with options compared to my average spec 320D I'll be paying about £150 a month less overall, and it drives so much better as a bonus.

Anybody here got any experience of fitting a tow bar ? BMW don't do a factory option which I'm assuming is due to the batteries.

Thanks for the pics Ben.
Looks great and nice to see a sport line amongst all the Msports on here! (still 2 months to wait for mine mad)
I've ordered the same 18" wheels. Do they come staggered with 255 tyres on the rear?

255 45 on rear 255 40 on front. p.s. be careful of even very low curbs against the front rims, the rims stick out further than the tyre on the fronts. Don't ask how I know this. frown

The Cooling system between the E-machine and ICE are the same, so one will pre-heat the other

I don't think this is right. For a start there are two expansion tanks under the bonnet and secondly the diagram you use to support your theory doesn't show any connections to the ICE? Only between the E-Machine and Transmission...

Jezza in what way do you find it better than the 320d ? Only interested as I'm moving from 320d.

Bugger about the alloys, it's the one thing I like about my current 320d. The tyres are not low profile so you get go up kerbs etc, and it's almost impossible to kerb the alloys

Nice touch that the fronts are lower profile than the rears though.

Still see no one has answered my queries on traction control off driving ;-)

Just the electric motor has enough torque to cause rear tyres to lose traction (in the wet) so you can imagine what it's like with both motors...

Ok maybe I'm having a senior moment, but according to the my BMWConnectedDrive app, of the 1600 or so miles I've driven so far, 323 have been electric but it says ive only saved 2.2 gallons. What am I missing?
Just wondering do you know what your average mpg is over the 1600 miles?

I've done 1500 miles and it's saying I've done 386 in electric only and saved 5.6 gallons. So theoretically does that mean the computer is assuming car is doing 68.9 mpg? Strange - overall the average mpg is about 39?

Actually, the left exhaust tail pipe is not capped, it looks like it is, but look closely and you'll see it has a valve that opens in sport/sport+ mode. I guess it's more efficient to run one tail pipe in eco mode. How cool is this car!
Also unless I'm imagining things the exhaust sounds louder in Sport mode which makes sense if it's got an exhaust valve.

Well I,ve now done 2500 miles, with 433 on electric but the app still says I've only saved 2.2 gallons? Current mpg is 44 according to the trip computer. The connect website (not the app) shows I'm saving 10 mpg so it would appear that overall I'm effectively getting 54mpg. I've only actually fully charged it 3 times via cable, the rest is down to using Save mode.
Incidentally I've struggled many times to get Save to more than 53%,. Even with no air con and trying sat nav on and off, the best I've got to is 60% but it quickly uses up the battery even when you tell it to save. I don't really understand why I can't get it to charge to 100% so that I can use it for city driving the next day.

Getting the back end out is easy even in electric only mode!

Ive had my 330e for 3 months now and had to drive a 320d for a day a few weeks back - it's like going back in time 10 years in car technology, the difference really is that big!! This is the future and anything else feels prehistoric now! You won't be dissapointed....

Did anyone receive the below with their UK 330e?

- a toolkit
- locking wheel nuts
- a service book
- a y cable

Perhaps someone has a list of items to check were delivered with the car? I have no idea or where to check, but got none of the above!!

The 'toolkit' in mine is just a towing eye, and this, together with the key for the wheel bolts is located above the 12V battery behind the trim on the right hand side of the boot.

No service book with mine, not sure what the Y cable is?

Aren't the service books now electronic?

And the Y cable - if that's the old cable to connect a phone via USB and line in, I think that stopped being needed on new cars when the F series came out. I suspect yI'm can just use a regular iPhone cable or Bluetooth stream depending on options.

The fronts are higher profile than the rears. The fronts are also narrower than the rears so the sidewall height is the same front and rear.

Pretty sure using 'save' will eat into your MPG and from memory, I've seen somewhere (maybe in the manual?) that it only puts 50% back into the battery. No idea why though confused
