Ok, so what if someone like me with no reservation, does the same?
If you can afford the P/AWD version there will be no wait.

Tesla is cranking these things out at 6000+ per week. So one weeks producton I suspect is already more than demand in the UK for a £50k+ Saloon for a whole year.

For reference BMW struggles to shift 1000 M3/M4/340i combined in a whole year!! Tesla only sold 2.5k on the S/X combined in the UK last year, so 6K per week producton is massive ramp up!!

I get the temptation to just on a new car, but financially speaking the Model 3 is looking to be not much cheaper than a Model S, certainly if you go for a speced up one. Regardless of 0-60 times £50k is an awful lot of cash to part with for a small saloon.

Once the initial rush is over Tesla will have plenty of inventory stock to shift. For the sake of waiting a few extra month you could save yourselves a tidy sum.....

If you hop over to TMC forums your see plenty of similar stories. $5k+ saving isn't pocket change on a $40k car, and I suspect UK 'price adjustments' will be similar come later this year.

The more Model 3s Tesla produce the more they have to sell, which for us the consumer nearly always means a better deal smile.

The days of Tesla raking up prices like they did on the S/X over the last 18 months is over, I'm glad because it was getting nuts, at one point the cheapest X Tesla sold was only a few £ short of 6 figures. Cheaper EVs is good for everyone!!

Ha I reserved mine in May 2017... which probably means I will get a car just around the time fusion power cars hit the roads.

I think it was around 9am at Weybridge. No queue there but I understand they were queuing earlier at a couple of the other bigger Tesla centres that day, so who knows how far up the list I'll be?

I'd like to think that they could get about 2500 cars on the first ship, so I think I've got a good chance of being in the first batch.

IIRC it was about 10am I placed my reservation, my local centre in knutsford was also quiet and they also said they had been busier earlier.

My current lease car is with me until the end of next January so I'm in no rush, equally if it arrived sometime this year I wouldn't complain.
