Had my inspection today. Completely forgot about the bloody service light being on as it's been in the garage for a while, so they want to charge me £170 for that plus £50 for a kerbed alloy...
Ouch, that was a bit clumsy!

Ours is in for its service and needs a new battery - no mention has been made of cost so watch this space.

Cost of service plus cost of man to take it to garage for service and return it etc etc

It'll be interesting to find out if the service is actually carried out, it'll be free as well as a car of that age will have FOC servicing; just let the new owner deal with it.

Had my new Kia Soul EV delivered today. It's looks bloody awful in pictures.....
Not my actual car bit that colour scheme.

In the flesh it looks fantastic!

It's a better car in every single way than the zoe, bar range of the new 40kw. The lights are excellent, the heating works, the the ride is compliant and comfortable, there's more gadgets (it's has ambient lights that flash in time to the music !) the seats are much better, visibility is much better, interior fit is quality etc etc...... It's bigger inside too and the kids can actually fit.

Anyway.....it's great, get one!

Hi guys, just after a bit of reassurance/advice.

The 2 year PCP term on my Zoe ends 1 February. I've sent the relevant form back confirming that I wish to return the car. I also received a call from Renault finance seeking confirmation of my intentions (despite them having received my clearly completed form).

So, from this it should be reasonable to assume Renault finance know of my intentions. However, with only a week or so to go, I've not heard anything in relation to collection, or pre collection inspection if that's the order of events. Is this normal?

I've checked the paperwork and it seems to say they'll take c£8.6k on 1 Feb in final payment. Of course, as I've told Renault Finance that I'm not keeping the car, you'd assume they wouldn't try to take this, but they don't seem to be the most competent of companies. It seems wise to cancel the direct debit just in case, but what about the battery lease?

I'll chase up Renault finance next week but is there anything else I need to consider or do? To be honest I just want rid of the thing now.

Cheers

Thank you. I gather they're a collection agency? Is arranging collection myself normal? Shouldn't Renault finance be doing this?

Just had Mannheim on the phone arranging an inspection for next week. Do they do the inspection then collect at a later date? As far as I know my contract is up until 21st of February so, as I'm in northern Ireland, they may only come over every couple of weeks.

My Leaf was up for collection mid December with a replacement car being picked up a day or so later.

First issue was that although id returned the paperwork on time (and it was acknowledged) Manheim never contacted me to make an appointment, so i did a lot of chasing around trying to get one arranged. As DSL has stated they are swamped and the inspectors only have limited day time to perform the inspection which usually takes just shy of 1hr.

To Manheims (and Nissans) credit they got an inspector over to me at short notice. Once inspected the car comes under the ownership of Manheim, you cant drive it but its covered under Manheim insurance. A truck was arranged for the following day to take the car as they dont drive them away.
