Try kia soul too.

We had a Zoe for 2 years, I had a 3 day test in a Leaf and now have a Soul.

The Zoe looks cool but feels cheap. The Leaf is very good but looks weird. The Soul look fvking bonkers but is excellent.

It will also do a real life 80 miles in the current shyte weather so your commute would be doable. They have a 27kwh battery but some funky battery heating so eeks out a few more miles.

None are perfect though but we'v had the soul 3 weeks now and 700 miles in we love it.

actually getting the leaf tekna for 7 days today. Not a bad loan !! I will buy/lease/rent/steal one: I'm sure. The man maths stack up.

boot size will matter- can my wife get all the kids stuff in ? i3 clearly won't be big enough. the soul is an option, but the deals are not good enough.

she does 5500 miles a yr average. I think we'll do more in, as I'll want to drive it- as oppose to using my car.

for me its a simple equation of at least £100 a mth on road fund/diesel. an additional £100 to that gives my wife a new car with lots of toys. plus zero repairs/running costs.

I've spent £1300 in 5 years - excluding MOT's keeping her current car on the road. Plus £5000 in cash buying it to begin with, for a car that's now worth £500 at best. I'm not going to turn this thread into a lease type debate- but for the first time in nearly 30 years, I've looked at car ownership in a different light.

it's chicken feed to use a phrase really. Albeit I'm not a typical ph'er rolling around in cash !
