Standard New Zealand plugs are only 10 amp, and running anywhere near that for any length of time is not recommended.

Hence I've fitted the sockets as the OP photo as they are reasonably happy with 15 amps - which incidentally charge at about 20 mph.

If she has to go down there again, try Baldock Services, which is literally just off the A1 about 2 miles north. They have some rapid chargers.
