I'm looking for 21/22 year high spec, There seem to be quite a few on the market but I cannot find any with air suspension. I would have thought it essential for a car of this ilk.

But indeed seems to be a minority, seems the new buyers didn't consider it essential.

Thanks for finding those. I'm a bit picky and don't really like Black but I'll give them a call.

I thought there would be loads.

Mine was a MY20 with air and adaptive damping - don't get one without the other..

It's not as essential as you would think, the coils are well judged, I have driven both. I had one for a half day as a test drive on coils and I think 20" wheels, I was impressed that it was very comfortable but also rolled very little in tight corners - for a heavy SUV.

But I spec'd the air + adaptive as I assumed it would be even better than the already very good compromise setup, I liked the idea of extra ride height where I live, and to be honest I love a gadget.. also the 22" wheels which just suit the overall proportions of the car beautifully biggrin

When the car was delivered I drove the same roads as the coil sprung car and it no longer felt like a very stable and well sorted SUV, it simply no longer felt like an SUV at all in terms of how it drove. The air suspension sorted out the low profile tyre firmness in comfort, but in dynamic (sport) mode, the adaptive damping really sorts out the cars weight. You can twitch the steering right>left>right at 60mph and the car just does as instructed, rather than become a pendulum that wants to dictate it's own direction. My i4 M50, a relatively low slung sports-coupe, can't match it in that regard - I'm serious.

So either solution is good, but air + adaptive is excellent wink

Brilliant, Thank you for the advice. I'm not really an SUV driver but can't find anything with a bit of poke and built reasonably well. I had a Jag XF years ago and absolutely loved it way better the that 5 series it replaced.

When I was in Estonia I had a Taycan 4S which was great . However I'm not prepared to pay the premium price they still seem to hold.

Managed to filter by "air suspension" by adding as a keyword at the bottom, voila 11 I-Paces which are 2021 or 2022 cars with air suspension and aren't black smile

Thanks I should have thought of that. A good selection. Seems I'll be busy tomorrow.

No problem.

My business partner had two XF's, the 4 pot diesel and then the 3 litre six diesel. They were both great as they just destroyed typical British roads with ease despite never feeling like they were going as fast as they were. I can confirm 100% that in any setup, even without using all it's extra power, an iPace will go down the same roads faster without feeling close to it's limits. The super low CoG and e-diff (benefitting from EV levels of torque control) see to that.

Also the general layout of the car - if you take a look you'll see the cab is pushed forward so you're close to the front, able to feel small directional reactions of the car to steering inputs, the wheels are pushed right into the corners of the car, so it's extremely stable and progressive. The downside is a poor turning circle - but you can't have everything wink

My Triumph Herald was pretty spectacular turning circle wise. The unfortunate thing is as a pensioner I get none of those lovely tax breaks afforded some and the state pension doesn't quite cut it.

The question is: Do you feel lucky?

You are not going to suffer with the slow/picky public charging

There is a long list of known issues and even if you have the essential! Jag used warranty thing like water ingress are'nt covered

So the leaky windscreen issue with other associated damage isn't covered

Then you have the dealers

You’d hope that the water ingress issues would have been resolved by now

If the OP is looking at a 21-22 MY car - surely that will be covered by the Manufacturers Warranty until that expires, then the used car warranty takes over?

We had the water ingress (deluge) problem - car bought used from a non-franchise dealer - at 2 years old, and it was sorted without question by JLR under warranty.

Very much looking forward to picking up a 69-plate SE in Borasco with black pack next week - yeah I feel lucky biggrin lol

2 years Jaguar extended warranty should help a bit in that respect... I'll only need public chargers once or twice a year planned (maybe other times unplanned lol) - free charging at work and Intelligent Octopus will make it super-cheap to run. Was this thread that actually made me think 'oh, used iPace, haven't even thought about those' as I thought they'd be £45k min still!!

I picked up a 21my Caesium Blue HSE a few months ago -

c £38k( ie half the theoretical new price, sub 20k miles - the main dealer package of 2 year warranty , Jag assist and wall charger etc

I m clearly biased but I consider it the "sweet spot" in the whole EV Market - classy brand , looks , quality interior but what has surprised me is how good it is to drive .A Taycan CT was the only other contender but at getting on for twice the price the numbers just didn t stack up

It replaced an Audi q3 quattro and a Porsche 911 ( 991.1) in a small car rationalisation exercise -and tbh I dont miss the 911 as much as I thought I might - The i pace is as quick ( at least off the mark and in a straightline!) as the 911 and I m fortunate to still have an Elise 220 Sport for analogue days

so add me to the fan club !!

Dave

Indeed, there is no other EV that is now old enough to be a bargain that is even close to ticking so many boxes as the iPace does. Tesla model S dual motor variants get close, because at least they have an actual interior and it's quite a nice place to sit... But they simply don't drive half as well.

I never thought i'd be on PH claiming a 2.2t SUV is a good drivers car, but it is what it is - it's true. No one will believe it without driving one.

Almost got one over the weekend but the spec I wanted had sold the night before. Periodic table element blue, I ivory performance seats, 360 cam, adaptive dynamics etc for £34k after finance contribution was a compelling package.

Was it a first edition model? They were cesium blue and had 'everything'..

Such a stunning colour too.

They are great cars. I ran mine for almost 3 years and had zero problems. Fast, comfortable and very versatile. I really wouldn't wouldn't worry about air suspension. The only thing better IMHO is the Taycan CT which is even more fun!

and even with the drop in EV values they are still very expensive.
