I considered an EQC, coming from a C300, but I went with the i4 in the end. The Merc's range just isn't quite there for me, it's in the "it's annoying" territory and so I discounted it.
With the i4, I've done 10k miles and usually get around 4 miles per KWH on a long run. It drives fantastically and has all the toys (spec dependent of course).

Yeah so if I didn’t already have a normal 420d I would have gone for this.

But this will be a runabout for the wife mainly so school run and local trips so the 200 miles range is plenty

They're both less than I expected as EV insurance seems to have rocketed (even more than ICE insurance has). A mate (40's professional, lowest insurance rated area etc etc) just got an iPace and the only way he could get under a grand was to have a black box!

That was with Admiral on a multi car policy.

The only thing I would also consider is that 2020MY EQC's are already dropping below £30k with nominal mileages, so you could take quite a bath on it value wise for a runabout especially with it being an older model due for replacement?

WBAC valuation on a 72 plate Premium Plus with 4k miles is already <£30k. eek

Wow that’s some drop
It’s down from £75k to £50k in the first 6 months so I thought I was doing well…

There's comments in the Secondhand car price crash thread that WBAC are quoting very low on everything at the moment.

She had her last car a Merc C350e for 6 years so would probably keep this for a similar amount of time.
No idea where the residual will end up 🤷‍♂️

Was going to pay cash but maybe a PCP might be better with a GTFV ?

They are the Taycan of SUV’s - the only way is down or a field.

Maybe not Taycan levels of depreciation laugh and at least the list price has been held over the last 4 years.

My C6 S6 had the most horrendous depreciation imaginable at around 70% in 3 years.

My EQC is circa 50% over 4 years.

List price of £80k is just nuts, they’re doing at least £10k off one and 0%APR direct through MB and even more off is available from some dealers.

I’ve just leased a brand new AMG Line Premium from MB UK through a broker - £408pm for a 2 year deal on 10k miles pa - would have been even cheaper if I was a business user - I don’t think you can get a luxury EV any cheaper than that!

200 miles real world range is poor but still more than enough for me and the deal was too good to ignore - it arrives on Tuesday and I’ll let you all know how it goes

Did you pay any deposit to get to the £408 pm?
