It's definitely not worth £50k. But so few cars sell ('sell') for anything like RRP these days. One way or another most are effectively rented, and the only time manufacturers shift big volume is when those deals are heavily discounted.
Hence my old ipace with it's £82k sticker.. In reality it cost me 20k over 3 years and in that time it lost about £50k of it's supposed value!

There are even cheaper prices for these being posted on Facebook, I suspect they need to meet their end of year goals.
That is probably the true cost price of the vehicle.
I did an insurance quote, and it was far too high for this to be worth it (£1500!).
yeah I got a similar insurance quote. I think mine added just over £100 to the monthly costThat is probably the true cost price of the vehicle.

Interesting in how people get on in the real world with these. Could make an interesting used buy in a few years if they are cheap, as a bit of a workhorse.
They'll probably cost proportionately more pm pcp as used without the crazy lease deals..I reckon in 3 years, 30k... They'll struggle to get more than £15k. Which sounds crazy but the rrp of £50k+ was always nonsense. No one actually paid £50k for one of these...

£15k might even be ambitious at 3 years old. Quite a few available at just over 20 brand new.
I filled out an application with CVL this morning for one, but not holding my breath.

I mean... They're cheap because they're old tech and a terrible pickup truck.£15k might even be ambitious at 3 years old. Quite a few available at just over 20 brand new.

But they're also valuable because of decent practicality and dirt cheap running costs and range because of the decent sized battery.
That's basically what defines their value... What else seats 5 and costs so little and does 200 odd miles for about £7? They won't appeal to many people but easily enought people to shift the stock already produced.
To drop significantly below £15k will require an even worse EV pickup or for the trucks that exist to all become high milers.

That’s a cheap way of buying a battery if it could go v2h
That’s a really good point - Tesla powerwall pair is 15-16 grand for 27kwh, whereas buying a Maxus and weighing most of it in gets you 88kwh for 23 grand if I’m correct on the direct comparison. Add some electronics for the control side and it could be a very cheap home battery option. As a workhorse this seems great. No one wants to drive 200km in a stty pickup or van anyway, so the range shouldn't bother anyone.
As for the earlier point, 88kWh? Holy st, I'm guessing there are some hobbyists that manage to make it v2g, in which case it's a relatively cheap home battery... that you can use as a pickup truck.

And the price deals get sillier and sillier:
1+11. £51 a month + VAT

All gone now, but even so...

Does this not go V2G? My MG 4 does I think it’s called V to Load. I was going to run the external Christmas lights off it. As for the earlier point, 88kWh? Your external Christmas lights probably use very little power, isn't this a faff to save a few pence? - seems a shame to have your Christmas display plunge into darkness anytime you pop out for a drive True V2G requires a car designed for it and also mods to the house to allow for the energy infeed to the grid.
V2L is indeed becoming quite common - it's useful and very easy to implement, especially true for larger practical vehicles where the on-board power supply can replace ICE generators when working remotely etc.
