Charging in the Netherlands

I'm having to take my Ioniq to the Netherlands in June, I've never used a rapid charger as the car is a local runabout.

Looking at the ChargeMy Hyundai map there are thousands of chargers in the Netherlands but drilling into the detail many appear to be local street chargers of 7 or 22Kw AC capacity, the Ioniq's small battery (38kWh) will mean a couple of stops but the slow charge rate of 50kWh DC and 7 kWh AC (at best) mean it takes time, which is a luxury I don't have on this trip.

I take it there are 50kWh and faster available but finding them might be a challenge, would I be best just looking at motorway charging stations?

bp are rolling out 150kWh chargers ....all available on their app.
They have approx 50-60 in the country, so dependent on where you are, you might be able to get a fast charge.

The Netherlands is the home of the FastNed network which is fantastic with very stylish and easily recognised charging stations. Shell and Allego are also numerous so I wouldn’t foresee any trouble finding a rapid charger.

Not all chargers are marked on the various apps, at least in my experience when we were there in Feb.

when I travel abroad I usually use Electroverse app to find the charging stations, then depending on the cost I use their card or other options if available.

Eventually I always end up at Tesla Superchargers.

EDIT: the above mentioned FastNed shows a cost of 0.69 € / kWh at 150 Kw with Electroverse

Ionity with the passport subscription (5.99€/month) is 0.49€/kWh (0.69€ without - so you break even at 30kWh). 13 locations in the Netherlands, so Fastned + IONITY should be enough for the whole country.

As a Dutchman: Shell Recharge is my go-to provider whenever I can't use a Tesla Supercharger. They have the best coverage in NL.

Interesting! I may have missed something. How are the speeds and prices? (and what's the best app/card to access - I recall trying to look it up in a hurry on the phone and giving up).

I’m living in the Netherlands, the Fastned stations you can use a credit card chip/pin at the charger or the app. I think shell are the same. A few other fast charger suppliers around, most 150kw or more. The fastned network is excellent, currently 69cents/kWh pay as you go, I use those if I need other than tesla.

The street charging is very good, no worries not having a driveway living in amsterdam for example. Prices circa 40cents kWh there, but vary throughout the country.
