Yes, to be fair this doesn't sound right. My Polestar has 61kWh useable (compared to 64kWh in the Twin Motor) and I've never seen a reading of less than 210 miles from 100% SOC, regardless of temperature.
Does that 166 miles tally with the efficiency you're getting?
Your battery is 20% bigger, so your 210 would translate to him getting 172.Does that 166 miles tally with the efficiency you're getting?
I've had my EX30 for about 4 weeks now - its an Ultra with dual motor - issues I am having so far
- Battery as you say is no where near advertised range - it has improved since getting the car - I have once seen range from 100% charge to be over 200 miles. (never expected it to be as advertised, but it is worse than I hoping for)
- Phone does not always connect to bluetooth
- Cruise control consistently goes 1mph faster than what is set
- Keyfob (not the card) that came with car doesn't always unlock car when I walk up to it (what the hell was wrong with pressing a button on a keypad). This morning I had to unlock the car with the app
- Screen has thrown a wobbler once when I got in the car (just cycled through a range of pretty colours) - reset is pressing the down buttons on the steering wheel for 15 seconds when in park sorts this out.
- The slider for restricting charging rates defaults to 6amp - you have to manually over ride this every time you home charge or it takes forever
- The app only really good for checking battery status when charging. Needs more work
- I've banned myself from eating in the car - come from a car with leather seats to the Volvo with fancy light grey recycled cloth shizzle. Seems to mark very easily
With the benefits of over the air updates seem to have come laziness from manufacturers to actually make everything in the car work from the get go
Otherwise it is a rocketship

Key fob does not work, car cannot connect to the web so no updates, ditto with 6 amp charging. Volvo must expect first time buyers to be development mugs. Lookers in Glasgow have demonstrators, 3 cannot connect to the web and 2 only intermittently. Am still waiting for Volvo upgrade/ correction. Spoiling what is a fine car.

grounds for rejection? There is an update available, from 15th April, Volvo reckon we will get it in the next 3 weeks.

This fixes the PITA charging issue of defaulting to 6 Amps.
Still no Android Auto or Apple Car Play. The phone connectivity on Bluetooth is shocking, my workaround is to download spotify onto the car itself, which seems to work with your phone.
Ref the internet connectivity, if you leased the car, you should have no problem, if you bought the car privately its an issue with Vodafone (allegedly)

I took delivery of a Smart #1 on Monday which shares the same Geely underpinnings as the EX30. I chose it due to being a more luxurious spacious cabin, and the screen set up. No issues with range it’s spot on. Tech has been excellent too. Happy with my choice reading this.
I only post this to say that it really is a roll of the dice with EV. The user interface with the technology is crucial but I can’t understand how Geely/Volvo can get it so wrong when Merc/Geely in my experience have got it spot on. Is it due to oversight by Mercedes whereas the EX30 is effectively wholesale Geely in truth.
