On site security taking this news going beyond their remit perhaps? Surely the news story is just warning people not to drink and drive? No mention of an alcohol ban.

In other words, the ACO want you to pay through the nose for the p*** they sell trackside.

If this is true they can only police that in certain places since places like MB are right next to the track! No bother so much unless you are sitting in the Tribunes for the whole weekend I expect

The OP is not quite accurate, but sadly it's basically true.

I have been told just now by someone who is already down there that Bleu Nord and Sud and BSJ are OK, but MB, KN, both Houx and the Annexe etc are enforcing the ban, so if you're camping within the curcuit boundary it's a no beer zone.

I can see that happening now, but I just can't see them doing it when the masses are on site. I'd like to see them try to enforce it, there will be a riot.

They can do what they like, but they will never stop the British from getting pissed at Le Mans. For we are bettere than them.

What spelling mistake?

There's a fking beer ban at Le Mans and you're worried about someone's fking spelling? Yeesh! You steaming great big homosexual puff, go back to sipping port and lemon.

I'd like to think that the security have been mis-informed and within the next few hours this matter will be resolved. The ACO know what's good for them and banning campsite booze would be a VERY bad move, especially when people are already there.

I wouldn't worry too much until we have the full facts.

Le Mans banning alcohol? You'll be telling me FIFA are banning backhanders next!

Can't see how this can work... The ACO stalls are all inside after the turstiles, there are rip-off merchant stalls on the camp-sites that obviously pay to be there but don't think they are ACO.

Carrefour sales will be down. Loons driving around instead of drinking will be up.
