Slight remark.
According to the countdown timer the race begins at 2 pm instead of 3 pm. Or is there some timedifference due to the fact I am located in mainland europe. Which seems a little odd because I am on Le Mans time and not UK time so my timing should be the correct one!

Yes it is.
Must be some computertime thingy that makes the timing right for UK-based PH-forumreaders and one hour off for the Europe-based PH-ers.
Just to check:
It is 11:20 hrs now, so still 36 days, 3 hours and 40 minutes to go to the race (in realtime/french time). Is this what the timer says in the UK?

10.52 UK time. Timer says "36 Days, 03 Hours, 07 Minutes, 48"

Check!
The timer counts down to 2pm. (in the UK that is correct)
But on my side of the channel it also counts down to 2pm. And now we're off one hour!
Computers are dumb things!
Still love the timer though!
(Sheldon-alert: if it could countdown to 1pm UTC, it would be perfect!)
