My friend and I are planning to go for a meal after the drivers' parade and we want to eat steak fries - It being a friday night with loadss of people in townwe realise we might have to go a little away from the town centre. We are not into the modern 'fancy' way of cooking... bistro is more our style... Ant recomendations?

Can't remember there names, but there are 2-3 nice restaurants next to each other in a central square within the old part of Le man.

Had a few lunches in them, and they are always nice. Sat next to radio Le man crew one year.

I would highly recommend the '7 plats'. But there are many others to choose from in the 'Old Le Mans'

'des 7 plats' is an excellent restaurant as is 'Les nez rouge' just down the same road but I'd be gobsmacked if you just walked in off the street and got seated to be honest. I've seen countless people turned away from both even when there's no racing. Head out of town or be prepared for a long wait!

any of the cafe/restaurants in Arnage are pretty nice.
Plus you have the added bonus of people hooning up & down the road!

Drive out to Ecommoy, lovely little town with a quaint market square and a super restaurant (cannot remember name, but it's on the corner overlooking the square) with plenty of outside dining tables if the weather allows.
Great crowd, mostly locals, but very welcoming. ENJOY!!!
